About
Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

Beautiful setting
Course was in good shape. The greens had been aerated so were really slow. I can imagine how fast the very large greens would be normally.
Best in Bay Area
This course is the best value in Northern California!
Great play- even with greens recently aerated
Played on aeration special. Greens were tough, but not unexpected.
Course in great shape. Could you a Marshall to push those groups that get behind..

Great course. Slow pace in the afternoon. Barely got my 18 holes in. Will definitely return
Take care of businness
It is always great to play Rancho. Can we do something about pace of play. you have Marshalls! Use them.....slow play yesterday behind a couple of very slow groups...we had a marshall come up acouple of times and nothing was done....
Another perfect day
Played on Thursday, we had 2 golfers in our foursome that were first time playing at Rancho. They loved the challenge and condition of the course. The pace of play was perfect as was the weather. Purchased green fees through hot deal, what a deal!
Fun course, great layout, was piled up on the back 9
First time I've played this course. Price and amenities are great. Staff was super friendly. Got through 9 holes in about 2 hours which is just fine. Took about 20-30 minutes to play hole 10. I left after that hole since hole 11 a par 4 was piled up. I'll come back again if I have more time to dedicate.
