About
Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

Beautiful Course Fast Greens
I was told by the starter to try to stay below the hole when I got to the greens. I didn’t and I ended up finding out just how fast the greens are. Multiple times I ended up putting three times. The course is beautiful, very well maintained, very nice layout, but you’ll need to get used to putting on really fast greens. Definitely a course to play again.
Great Greens!
This is always a great place to play it’s in excellent condition. We tee’d off at 840 trying to beat the heat , the marshal’s we’re bringing cool towels around for everyone this is above and beyond great customer service!
Good pace of play for a Saturday, we play here often because it’s always good! A great value at a time when most courses are cutting cost !
We’ll definitely be back !

The King’s
Pace of play and tee boxes.
Course was solid, fairways were nice , and greens were fast. BUT…the pace of play was horrible. Two marshals knew the group in front of us were playing slow and let them continue to do so. It was 100 degrees out when we finished our 5 hour round. It’s unacceptable to let people play that slow in heat like that. The marshals themselves were nice, but nice wasn’t helping our cause. Can we move past the idea that it’s fine for recreational golfers to take 2.5 hrs for 9 holes and 5 hrs for 18. If you’re not pro you should only be taking 4 hours to complete your round…and that’s max. Now, on to the tee boxes. There’s was a good amount of grass, that wasn’t the problem. Whoever placed the markers had you hitting drives on a pretty solid upslope on the 1st tee, then on a few other holes we were hitting on an upslope or down slope. We noticed there was several places to move the markers that were flat with no healing necessary. Not the best placement by someone. Other than that, I got paired with a great group and we had a good time.

Excellent course for the price. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Course was well maintained and the pace was perfect.
Wow
The course is in immaculate shape. Those greens are brutally fast and undulated which make them challenging. The fairways are beautiful along with the greens. I was concerned that with the recent rain we have been having it would make for Poor course conditions but I was wrong. Everything is green and pretty.
