Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

Must play
One of the few courses that still take pride in course conditions. Tee box’s, fairways and greens are in excellent conditions. Most expensive course around but well worth it. If your around a 100 play later in the day but you won’t regret it. If your an 80’s guy, you must play before 0900.

Great course, one of the best for the money deals in NorCal
I've played dozens of courses in the Bay Area, and over to Sacramento, and Rancho is one of my top favorite places to play. The people who play there are always nice, it's laid back, but people take care of the course and is in great condition. Also, it's a great layout, and not too expensive. Highly recommend, if I lived closer I'd play there 5 times a week.
