Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

Great course
This course plays very straightforward with some hilly areas. It is in immaculate condition and it plays fast if you go early. One of my favorites!
Awesome public course
I don't think there is any other public course in the Bay Area that is as well kept as this one. Amazing fairways and greens.
Great and challenging course for any type of player
This is a great and challenge course to play. Had later and the green play well. The pace of play was great didn't have to wait at any tee boxes.
Slow slow play
They scheduled so many tee times that it took forever for me to play. There was two foursomes in front of my that were slow as snails. I was given the option to play thru on the first foursome. But then I was just on the tails of the next foursome. Other than that, the course is pretty nice. I would’ve enjoyed it with a faster pace play.

Great all around experience. GolfNow Hot deal. $54 with cart around 12:30pm. Good overall layout. I was pleasantly surprised wth the greens. They can be very slick. Staff was very hospitable. I will definitely play again.

EXCELLENT COURSE. Every hole is challenging and full of excitement. The only issue is when I tried to book thru Golf Now a twilight tee time 3 or 4 days earlier because I love to walk, It always say no more tee time but when I tried the day itself I was able to get a tee time. Big question mark. But I'm always happy each and every time I play at Rancho Solano*****

Great to be Back
First round since the COVID-19 shut down. The course was in excellent condition. Really liked the way the course used a filler in the flag holes so that you still had pretty much the same feeling when putting. Think this is the best alternative I've heard of. All things considered the day exceeded my expectations, carts were sanitized before using them. Looking forward to playing on of my favorite course in the Bay Area again.
