Rancho Solano Golf Course

Started at the first tee when the had 6 people booked for 1:48 tee time I had 1:56 joined with 2 of them every hole we had to wait for group in front of us to tee off on 3 holes the group behind us was waiting with us for the previously mentioned group to tee off there was no room in front of them ether greedy course putting to many groups out to close together I got tiered of waiting and left after 9

The staff is wonderful and the course is always very well maintained. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are perfect and kept in great condition year round. the course layout is both challenging and forgiving at the same time and alot of fun. I play here regularly a couple times a week and it's one of my favorite courses. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable given the quality of the course. Any comparative private course would easily charge more than double what Rancho normally charges. The only downside is that the course can play very slow on busy days with tournaments and especially on the weekends when the weather is nice but I guess that's expected at any great golf course. After having lots and lots of rain, I was going into withdrawals....no golf for weeks! Even if the rain let up, the courses weren't in great shape. Fairways were soggy, rough was soggy and not mowed on a regular schedule. And when the grass was cut, there were the usual clumps of dead grass that easily conceals a wayward shot. Well, we had a break in the weather and I know that Rancho drains pretty well, so I took a chance. Bravo to the groundskeepers! Only had three holes that limited cart access, greens were great, fairways great and even the bunkers were in great shape. Keep up the good work!!

Course is in good shape. Bunkers a bit hard, but we've had a lot of rain lately. The rough was a little to high for my liking, but that's the challenge, right. Fairways and greens are in great shape. A few drainage issues, but mostly a not an issue. All the Par 3 except 1 are very long. And all are very hard to score par. It's one of my favorite courses in the East Bay.

It took 3.3 hours to play nine could not finish round.

I must say normally the course plays really good really on time and really nice, the last Sunday sucked, teed off at 2:30 could not finish 18. 5 hours riding 2 golfers. But they didn't have any problem hustling me off the course at 7:30. Go Rangers keep those tournaments moving.
