Great Course- Greens were in repair
I always play here when I am in N. Myrtle Beach. The course is usually in great shape. A winter ice storm killed the greens so the greens were in repair. So the greens were rather bumpy and extremely hard to play on.
However, in the many years playing this course this was an extreme exception to the excellent conditions that I usually find the course in. I love the fact that range balls are included in the price.Great facilities and staff. Thanks for a great day. Shot 79 and easily could have been a par round. Looking forward to May when the greens are in.
Early season conditions
Nice spot, paired up with some nice folks. Pace was good. Greens in cry poor shape but this early in the season that is likely to be expected.
Grass on greens
The grass on most of the greens has started to fill in, however, this leaves the green very bumpy! An excuse to three putt!
Very dissapointed
The new greens at Sandpiper were fantastic, last year. No more.
Bay nine was closed and the other two nines should close as well. The overall condition of the course is shabby. Tees, fairways and greens are in poor condition. Greens are uneven, spotty and uncut where there is real grass, not green painted sand.
Did not enjoy round as NO green was putt-able. Played as two putt max as you never knew where the bumps where. A great course in trouble.
Good Deal
Good course and Fun Day. Good value for your dollar.
Greens were in bad shape but hopefully will come out by summer
Great course BUT!!!
I love playing this course but they have lost the greens. I will come back to play but I must say for now I will spend my money where we can put on grass not painted dirt!
Greens-n-Fairways
Greens are horrible, no grass, hard, dry and suffering along with the fairways and tees.
Nice Course
Nice course, weather had been dry, so the fairway and greens where in rough shape, but with some rain it would be great.
Winter impacted greens
Apparently winter impacted greens...very bumpy and weather besten...nice layout, friendly staff.
A Little Disappointed
This course has seen better days. Very little grass on the greens and general course maintenance has been ignored. The layout of this course was interesting and reminded me of one I played frequently (Island West G&CC) in the Hilton Head area.
Great course
We played in early April so course had winter damage. It was cart path only as there had been a major rainstorm the night before. It was cold & windy. We have played here before & it is a great course.
Should of been double seeded lost greens and bare fairways
lotta work to be done to be top rate playing conditions
greens, greens, greens.....work on the greens,,,over seed the fairways..cover roots with pine needles..small price to pay to have great reviews..greens need to be over seeded , cut ,m and rolled..was like putting on ripples potato chips
