About
Grand Canyon University Golf Course (formerly known as Maryvale Municipal Golf Course) offers an 18-hole track designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. and built in 1961. The par-71 golf course measures 7,269 yards from the championship tees and is open year-round.
The Bermuda grass Grand Canyon University Golf Course gets plenty of shade during the summer, thanks to several onsite trees, and features flat and wide fairways.
The fourth hole, for one example, is a 160-yard par-3 where you'll have to shoot over the water - and past the brick wall that separates the green from the water.

I have already reviewed this round. Golf now needs to figure out how to quit sending repeat requests after rounds have been reviewed. I know this isn’t the appropriate forum but I have not been able to find a way to contact them
Always A Great Value
Grand Canyon is one of my favorite courses in the valley and I recommend it to every visitor! It’s very playable for every playing level but extremely challenging for the better player! The fees make this is one of the greatest values in the valley!

The course has very nice greens protected by many sand traps. With heavy play the 18 oles took 5.25 hours. Enough said.
Lots of bunkers
First time playing course; REALLY windy, but we endured. Pace of play was okay.
Great greens
Greens were fantastic and bunkers (of which there are a LOT) were adequately sanded. Fairway divots were numerous., and some bare spots were noticed. No grass in rough and all hard-pan. Outside service was non-existent, until outside attendant wandered over after round to wipe clubs (for a tip of course) and was snotty when wipe down was declined.
Course is surrounded by a noisy streets and bordered by houses not well kept. Beyond all that, this course could be really good if the fairways and rough were better maintained .
Good value
Good value for this time of year. Green to next t-box on some holes is confusing... no signage.. Course winds through a residential housing area and long distance between some greens and next t box.
Lots of sand
First timer for this course and doubt we will be back. Zero Pace of play. Over a 5 hour round. More than once we had several groups on the same tee. Course is OK with lots of sand. There is some hidden trouble if you are not familiar with the course. Not a great value with overall conditions. Doubt we will be back. Definitely not for what we paid.
