Villa de Paz Golf Course

This is good track. Holes are challenging. Greens good but fairways need some attention. Too many good shots penalized for average or beginning golfer, by hard pan where rough should be. Straight hitters can score here.

Course is o k for this time of the year. o k for the money, the hole locations are a joke, someone is (whoever decides hole locations) making scoring on the greens harder than it should be.

Nice greens, but a little slow. Bunker are the same as rest of courses in the Valley, terrible. Fairway are thin in many spots. Course has matured nicely over the years.

By far the worst maintained course I've played on in PHX and WAY overpriced. $15 at ANY time should be max for this course. Greens are awful. Played because of deal on here for $14. Still pushing it, even at that price. Too many other courses within 5-10 miles for same price that are SOOOOO much nicer! Staff was awesome though; polite and personable.

This course provides the worst golfing experience found in the country. You are better off teeing it up in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

I was surprised how green the course was. It looks like they have been watering a lot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I have played this course for many years and this was the first time that we were the only 2 players on the course for over 1.5 hours. This is a great course for the price.

I know the neighborhood is not the best, but if someone put some money into this course (drainage, cart paths, seeding off the fairways, clean-up of the water hazerds, etc.) it could be great, becuase the layout is excellent. I keep going back becuase it's cheap and close to home.

I enjoyed the value most. Normally, courses like this are narrow and only have one or two water features. The greens were only tight on a few holes and the water was spread out. The flowing streams were a nice touch. Most of the course was well maintained but there was a leaking water main on one hole (as of 5/9/2013). Maintenance was handling the situation. Play rate was quick.

Compared to the last two courses I have played in the last month, this course was a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed it.

This course is a challenge, you need to be on the fairway or you will end up with lies that just make it more difficult, dirt dry grass, funky lies. It is a fun course just needs a little more grass and water on the edges, greens are nice speeds vary throught the day, but you can get slowed up by slow play and fivesomes, no marshalls on the course, it would be nice if you new players could learn some course etiquette.

Grass on fairways was very spotty. Bunkers had little or no sand and were hard dirt due to little preparation. We played because of great price and I guess we got what we paid for..

Overall the course is in pretty rough condition with a lot of dirt areas where there should be grasss. Transitions from concrete cart path to ground are rough and onto dirt. The greens were in pretty fair shape though.

course in fair condition, however the pace of play was ridiculously slow, waited on every tee and second shot, one member of our threesome left after the 10 holes.

My wife and I played the course five times. We enjoyed each round. We will play the course again when we return on vacation. All of the staff were very helpful and pleasant. We look forward to next year.

The front desk is lost for a lack of a better word. We had to ask when we would be going out on the first tee. The water tees have goose and duck excrement all over the greens and near areas. The water foul took over the area. As far as the course, it is a nice with some nice challanges it is in good condition. I enjoyed my game. A little work to the course would be very helpful in the excrement area.

There were a few of the greens that someone drove on and left tire marks. Water comes into play on quite a few of the holes. When I was a child I lived on the 17th hole so it was nice to play on the course where I use to get my hustle on as a kid, stealing balls and selling them back to golfers. =-)

We were pleased with the low green fees and enjoyed our day out. There are some great holes on the course but condition of fairway and rough is very variable - guess it needs a lot more water and care. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Was a bit slow but not as bad as some other courses we have played. All in all for the price a very enjoyable experience. Hole 4 is a great hole and the general layout is good with great variation in lengths of holes

The tee boxes are like mounded minefields and the fairways are thin. The greens are fairly smooth just slow. As I said it is a fun track but it just needs some time and money invested in to it.

Conditions that can't be beat for the price. Expect a 4.5 Hr Round.
