The Wizard Golf Course

Had a great time at the Wizard, staff was awesome, conditions were fantastic for January and a 4 hour round,

What more could you want ?

This is normally a very nice course to play. Unfortunately the greens were recently punched and Sanded making them absolutely impossible to putt on.

Had I known this, I would’ve booked elsewhere and waited a few more weeks before playing this golf course. Unfortunately when booking on Golfnow there was no mention of this Green maintenance and it made for a rather unpleasant round of golf.

Play 3 1/2 hrs tee time was at 1pm got done 4:30pm played other person! Pace of play was good! Fairway was good greens was fast! I alway❤️ this course!

Not overly difficult but fun to play. Great pro shop. Very friendly staff.

Course is in good shape. Greens run well, and are not so fast as to affect pace of play. Fairway overseeding is coming in well, and Course is not overwatered. Love the layout, especially the back nine. 17-18 are cool finishes.

It may not be advertised, but the fee includes a sandwich and two drinks — beer or soft.

Not enough restrooms on course( hole 7 and clubhouse) unless you use trees.

The scenery is beautiful.

Half of the greens were very damaged and the course conditions were average. They should put seed or sand in the carts to fill up the divots.

Shot my best round of the week in Myrtle Beach at the Wizard. Staff was great. Course layout was amazing. Conditions were top of the line. Pace of play was good too. Our next trip to MB we will definitely be here again!!! Great Round!!!

PS Man O War looks great too. Definitely going to try that track as well.

I love the layout. A lot of wet spots as well as spotty fungus on several greens. Greens had been plugged but no one told me that when I booked.

Staff stole my range finder and then lied about it when confronted with the evidence they tried to blame it others.

The course maintenance was poor and several greens are beyond repair.

Many overwatered aprons made chipping erratic. Greens had been aerified and sanded. Patchy in many spots. We were not informed of this but they charged full rate. I have played this course in good condition and this wasn’t good. A lot of wet spots but there hasn’t been a lot of rain. A long walk from many cart paths to greens. Steve

My wife and I drive from VA every year to play this course. The greens were actually unplayable on almost every hole. I understand aerating issues but this was more like putting in a sand box. The staff, as always were great but after a 350 mile drive we were a bit disappointed. If we go back again we will pick another month. There was not even a message on the website about greens conditions.

We really enjoyed the course and the layout. Generous fairways in great condition. Only knock was the greens, some were in really rough shape, and had just been punched for aeration. I know that is temporary, but still frustrating. The staff was really welcoming and nice. Would recommend when in Myrtle Beach.

Greens where in bad shape. Grass around d tees had not been cut for at least 2 weeks. Fairways ok, tees ok.

Wow, honest first impression was it must be a little “off” with a castle as the clubhouse. Totally wrong impression. Awesome staff in the clubhouse - Nancy and Ashton. Course was great. Fairways consistent and generous. Greens were consistent and received the ball well. Loved the layout.
