Ventura Country Club

Last time I played here the course was in pristine condition. Now it’s just average. Fairways no longer lush and dirt spots in some places. Greens still fast and true. I drove over an hour to return here but won’t make the trip again. Best part was it only cost $53 per person with a Hot Deal

The course length was shorter than I expected. I did not read the course in prior to my arrival, but the course did not disappoint. The lay out of the course was exceptional the fairway were well managed my only complaint I had a hard time with speed of the green’s mostly slow. Looking at them they look great and fast, to be fair I played with one of the locals and he assure me that the green’s that day was not normal I hope to replay this course in the near future this course was a great enjoyment to play

Shorter course with a challenging but very fair layout. T-boxes applicable for any level of player. Interesting hole designs in many with no holes that are simple duplicates of each other. Very challenging greens with significant slopes and alignments. Excellent value for the money. I would play it again

Had a 12:40 tee time. Arrived a bit early and the starter was okay with me going out a bit early. Was practicing solo so played a few balls to keep a fair distance from the twosome ahead. Over all course was in good shape for the $48 price and would def return. Greens were rolling true and bunkers have soft white fluffy sand.

Major problem getting through security as I have a paper driving licence they absolutely refused to let me take car to clubhouse so had to park across road from resort and walk to gatehouse where golf staff picked me up

They doing some new landscaping and the leave looks better , greens are nice

Club is very unfriendly to rideshare or taxi. I played a round before heading to airport after visiting area and multiple ubers got lost because of the numerous resident only entrances and then security wouldn't let my next ride in to pickup. Ended up missing my flight because of it. Security was very rude and refused to help me determine best way to get ride out of club.

1 hcp player - Course is borderline unplayable. Fairways are decent but everything else is rock hard. Literally could not push a tee into the dirt for a drive. Forget about short game, chipping off concrete. Greens were baked out and bare in some spots. Worst of all, 15 of 18 greens full of invasive grass. Holes 16,17 and 18 were Ventura of old but hard to justify the rate for 3 holes.
