The golf course at the Ventura Country Club, situated east of Orlando near many major highways and the airport, is semi-private but the facility welcomes outside play. It is a short course that features undulating greens with sudden breaks. The golf course has challenging par-3 holes that put a premium on shot accuracy. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout as well as water hazards on 14 holes. Most of the well-manicured fairways are lined with homes. The par-5, 13th hole is Ventura Country Club's signature hole. It requires a shot from an elevated tee over water and past thick forestry on the left and an approach shot to small, well protected green that slopes back to front.

Most tee boxes were sand and Fert, The greens had poanna on them brown spots and one par 3 had some kind of tracks on it. We love playing this course and the changes were awesome.

They need more signs with arrows explaining where some of the holes are. Especially 3 and the one where you hit over the big pond.

The best choice near the airport - only 2-3 miles away. Tee boxes were decent, fairway average, greens decent, bunkers okay. Pace of play was excellent - our 4some played in 3 hours! Will play next time in town.

Very interesting course although the layout for first timers is confusing. Especially holes 1-3. Signage needs to be better for 5 and 7. 6 is confusing as you arrive at the red tee not realizing the white tee is about 200 yards away to the left. When we got to 10, a foursome was on the tee that had not been on the front 9. And of course they were pitifully slow. That should not be allowed. Lots of water, hazards, and lightning fast greens. The round took 4:25. Considering there are 6 par 3's, that is way too long. Will play again in the summer when the course is less busy.
