The golf course at the Ventura Country Club, situated east of Orlando near many major highways and the airport, is semi-private but the facility welcomes outside play. It is a short course that features undulating greens with sudden breaks. The golf course has challenging par-3 holes that put a premium on shot accuracy. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout as well as water hazards on 14 holes. Most of the well-manicured fairways are lined with homes. The par-5, 13th hole is Ventura Country Club's signature hole. It requires a shot from an elevated tee over water and past thick forestry on the left and an approach shot to small, well protected green that slopes back to front.

Not extra long and do to dry conditions played a bit short. One tough par 5 on front side due to big water carry. Otherwise this course will not beat you up fun course. Staff friendly and great pace that day.

A Course of Two Halves

Enjoyed our game at sunny Ventura. Arrived early and were allowed to tee off early. Course is generally in good condition though some of the tees are a bit rough. Greens are very good - smooth and fast. Did not enjoy the front nine as much as the back which was far more open and less enclosed by homes. Back nine fairways seemed in better order too. In spite of not playing my best I would still recommend a visit - especially handy if looking for a game before flying out of MCO.

Greens appeared to have been recently aerated but were in good condition and quite tricky

Pace of play good with our 4 ball finishing in under 4 hours (12.40 tee time )
