Westchase Golf Club
About
Designed by Lloyd Clifton, Westchase winds through acres of lakes, conservation areas and forest. It offers manicured greens surrounded by natural wetlands, wooden bridges and bulkheads. With its 9,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, full-service dining room, and fully stocked pro shop, Westchase offers a country club atmosphere along with first-class service. The golf club has established itself as one of Tampa Bay's best upscale golf facilities. The front nine meander through an impressive pine forest. The back nine -- which is demanding on the tee shot -- features lakes, wetlands and cypress. Strategically placed bunkers, more sparkling lakes and stands of cypress, oak, palmetto and pine frame the fairways and greens. Signature Hole No. 3, at 212 yards from the back tee, is all you can handle -- It's a Par 3 all-carry over water from the back tee!

Awesome experience!
Could not have been any better. The starter/greeter, Peter, was really "pro". He provided many great tips. Don't hesitate to play Westchase.
Good course
Narrow fairways with a lot of water make this more challenging that it may first appear. Very nice landscaping.
Excellent course
For the value and conditions of the course, price was more than excellent. I enjoyed the course very much, greens were fast and pace of play was too, even though we had to wait, due to being so busy. Overall I would recommend this course to my friends and can't wait to play golf again.
THE COURSE WAS IN TERRIFIC SHAPE. GREENS FAST. LOVE THE LAYOUT. WILL PLAY HERE AGAIN.
Most unprofessional set up for making reservations
I have tried to make a group ( 16 players )reservation only at the requests of some of the members of my golf group. I have called this sorry operation at least 4-5 times over the past two weeks attempting to make a reservation and cannot even get a return call. It's ways too many courses in Florida for me to go through this effort to get his kind of response. I have reached one nice gentleman in the pro shop only to be told a Darryl would return my call.
What a joke!!!!!!
Norman S Thomas
One of the better around this area.
Course is in excellent condition. Greens are very fair, receptive to good shots and will run on you for a poor shot. Fast, no ball hopping as it rolls. Traps have good sand. Fairways and tees generally smooth, rough is not punitive. Lots of natural sights, vegetation, animals- saw deer, rabbits, various birds, alligator all in 1 round. A must play!
Great conditions!!
The course has dried out a bit and I fould it in great conditions. The greens were firm and rolling very nice. I highly recommend this course right now!
Great conditions
Really good conditions currently. Can use a little rain, but overall no complaints. Greens are in fantastic shape. Pace of play is always a pain here, but seems to have improved lately.
Great greens
Played 2some in 3 hours. Greens in great shape and mostly all other areas are pretty decent as well. Nice layout and fun to play. Enjoy
Nice course layout, but condition was pretty bad. The fairway grass was longer than average rough. Although it hasn't rained too much in the last few weeks, the cousre was really muddy and soft. Best part was the greens. They were firm, fast and fair.
Really good shape
It was cart path only today, but fairways were pretty solid. Greens were firm and on the faster side. Pace was a bit slow. Noticed some eeeds in some bunkers. But i love the layout and faster greens. Got a great deal in tee off. Looking forward to playing again
Amazing course!!!
Even with the rain from previous days the course was still nice and great to play. It will not be my last time playing here!!!
Great Course
It’s been a long hot and rainy summer in Tampa, and most courses around here look pretty stressed out by September. But Westchase was in excellent condition with lush fairways and fast greens. It was cart path only rules, but the course seemed well drained for the most part.
Westchase Golf course
Well it was very typical of this time of year. HOT and humid. Great greens even though they had been treated a few weeks ago, fast and true. Super hard layout if you're not hitting it good. I ran out of golf balls on 16 and had to come in! LOL normally i use 1-2 balls all day im about 5-10 handicap so bring a whole dozen for the woods and water!!
Great Greens. Everywhere else sucks.
Greens look great. Hard and fast for how much rain we have received lately. Bunkers look horrible with grass growing through the sand everywhere. Every tee box was sloped to the left from the tips. Yardage markers were very hard to find, and the par 3 didn’t even have any. Would recommend if issues above were fixed.
Its a nice course
Unfortunately we got stuck behind a group that think they are pros.
They could not get off the tee box, they hit more than one ball, and they were playing from the blues.
Needless to it turn into a 4 hours and 40 minutes round.
Look people:
If your drives are not clearing the red tee box, just move on to the front tees, and only hit one ball if you see two groups of four some waiting for you to hit one.
Seriously..!
You are not a pro you would reach the par 5 in two if you still have 320 yards on a par 5 that is only 500 yards, you hit your driver and you still have that much let.
Anyways it seems is a thing at times of the year here, you get lots of those.
But a ranger that actually do something can make your round more pleasant by moving people .
Anyways.. the place is nice you should play it, .
