World Golf Village is home to 36 challenging holes of championship golf. The Slammer & Squire Course is named after the two World Golf Hall of Fame legends, Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen, who served as consultants to the course's designer, Bobby Weed. The golf course is known for its tricky par-3 holes and the carefully preserved beauty of the landscape. Its traditional layout meanders through native flatwoods and hardwood hammocks, running alongside wetland preserves and a wildlife habitat. The scenic Slammer & Squire Course features contoured greens and gently rolling, generous fairways. There is also an abundance of water on the golf course in the forms of lakes and marshes.

Good times

Course wasn’t packed so we were able to play at a good pace. Staff was super friendly and course was in good shape. Would definitely recommend!

Nice course, no Marshall.

The course was in great shape. The greens were great (very quick). However, as single player, it took me 3.5 hours. There was no Marshall to move anyone along, which resulted in extremely slow play. For the price, you’d expect a little more attention to detail on the whole round, but it was still a nice course when actually speaking of the golf.

WET!!!

This must be Aquaman’s home course. Everything is wet. Cart path only for the entire course. On top of that, only members are allowed to walk, so don’t bring a push cart and expect to be able to use it. My shoes were soaked after 3 holes. Very disappointing for the price. I know we’ve had a little rain recently, but this is Florida where it rains almost every day. If you decide to play here, remember to bring a bathing suit and 3 pairs of golf shoes, you’ll need them.

There was a fivesome in front of us and the marshal said he would try to move them along but did not. The staff at the pro shop was great. Greens bumpy from aeration and fairways. If the group with five would have been addressed the round would have been less than 5 hours.

Meh

Course it self was in good shape for the most part, the greens though are still healing from a fresh punching and fairways punched. not worth $115 for punched greens. Maybe next season.

Down hill

Course used to be amazing. Not a military friendly course anymore, they charge a resort fee. ITS NOT A RESORT, staff is put out by driving you from parking lot, bar closes at 1650, at least 12 people outside wanting drinks. Cart girl was seen one time in 18 holes. Place has gone DOWN HILL!!!!

+ turnaround

The course conditions have greatly improved over the last several weeks, as it was very poor several months ago. The fairways and the greens are in great shape, just on the shaggy/ slow side. There are a few shabby tee boxes that could really use some work/ grass.

Undisclosed "Resort Fee"

The course was fine. But my total cost was $87.81, not the reservation confirmation amount of $84.13 with most of the difference being an undisclosed "resort fee". If a course charges a resort fee, it should either be shown as a separate line item, or be added to the "Total Greens Fees". Do better, be honest in your pricing. Also charging 3% for using a credit card is just tacky.

Greens Really Slow

Overall overpriced for the green condition, very very weary slow. Like putting on Velcro.

Fairways and teeing areas are nice.
