About
Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Winter conditions or wear & tear?
Overall condition of the course seemed like winter, but definite wear from carts in some areas makes me question if it isn't age catching up to the course.
So slow we walked off
After 4 1/2 hours we left after 15 holes. The beer cart came by once. There were no sandwiches available. The bunkers were unplayable. No water until the turn. The overall condition of the course was questionable

Was the only course of the 4 I played that was dried out and hard pan. Was not worth the money.

Slowest Round of Golf
I had a 10:15 AM Tee time on a Wednesday. We did not finish our front nine until almost 1PM. The scorecard says pace of play is 4 hours and 20 minutes (OR LESS). Due to how slow it was, I was unable to finish my round as I could not stay for more much more than 4 hours. I was only able to play 15 holes due to how slow the course was playing. Players were searching for balls left and right, taking multiple tee shots, it was the longest 15 holes of golf I have ever played.
On top of that, the course was in really bad shape. several greens had sand on them and were partially unputtable and the sand traps were unplayable/under construction. The rough was all completely dead grass.
Overall, a complete disappointment.
The only thing that made this not the worst round of golf in my life was that the bag drop attendants were extremely kind.
JUST OK
Love the architecture of the course, conditions were in poor shape shape. Bunkers were out of order and greens were tore up.

Terrible conditions
Sad, they really let this course go. No grass, it’s all mud. Greens are in rough shape. I’m at a shame, this course used to be nice. They’re completely under staffed. Felt bad for the one working there.

Course needs maintenance
The staff was very friendly but the overall course is in terrible condition. The driving range was unusable as the grass was dried up and it felt like you were hitting off sand. The greens were eaten up and slow. You couldn’t putt in some situations. The fairways were burnt up and looked like they hadn’t been watered in a long time. I wouldn’t play at this course again if I was in vegas.

The layout is the only good thing about the course
Total waste of $57. They should pay you to play this course it is in such bad condition. The greens had sand all over them and the fairways were worn down Bermuda it was better to hit a ball in the rough to get a decent lie than it was to hit it in the fairway. All of the sand traps were labeled “ground under repair. Oh, and it is common for the course to allow 5somes, so a 5 hour round would not be unusual.

Don't waste your money
Played on March 17, 2022.
When checking in the attendent, although pleasant, informed us that all traps are being played as ground under repair. We were informed that the traps hadn't been maintained for over a year. Well, I beg to differ. There were small bushes growing in a few traps suggesting that trap maintenance had not been performed in a few years at least. Why wasn't this mentioned on the website?
The tee boxes were a disaster. Finding a blade of grass on any fairway was virtually impossible. Green were just sanded.
The only good part was the server in the restaurant area. She was a delight.

Extremely poor conditions
I have never played at a course in worse shape than this. Literally no grass except greens, and the greens were horrible. All traps were closed (free drops) and under repair. Never saw one maintenance worker. Probably hasn’t been watered in weeks. They had the audacity to charge $99.00 when $10.00 would have been too much. It was embarrassing to call it a golf course. I have played this course in March a few times, but Will NEVER play here again. Felt like an abandoned course.

Needs TLC
This course is in the poorest condition we have seen it in several years, no sand in the traps , bar spots in the fairways, greens were saggy and the course was in desperate need of water and seeding.
