About
Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Customer service very lacking
With temps over 100 degrees, there was no beverage cart seen until the 16th hole.
Pro shop staff was very lack luster and standoff-ish.
No one mentioned that the greens were "punched" Our cart died on the 15th hole.
Just an overall very poor experience.
Nice layout, rough conditions
Have played Stallion many times while in Vegas, close to the strip with a reasonable price (for Vegas visitors). Course conditions this trip were very rough, sand traps are unplayable, large areas of ground under repair on almost every hole. ( which I guess is a good thing that they are working on it). On the plus side, still
A very friendly staff, very nice clubhouse, and a very nice layout. Overall, a good value if you want to sneak in a quick round during your visit.

Great layout, terrible condition
A really nice clubhouse and shop and the course layout was really interesting and enjoyable…but…the greens were terrible (they had just been spiked and I understand that necessity) they were bobbling, diseased, some bare spots and even a gopher hill! Fairways were ok in places but very poor/bare in others do we had to pick and place. There are loads of great bunkers on the course…ALL of them are GUR and not to be played from. I saw the cat girl once on a day with temperatures in the 90s.
Real shame, it could be so good. Get what you pay for I suppose.
Great Value
The course was dryer than it should be, greens were fleshly punched, but still played very true. Fairways are in good condition considering Vegas has not had significant rain in a year and staff was everywhere keeping what they had as good as it could be, only major problem was traps were rough and marked GUR. I would still play it tomorrow if I didn't have to leave town

Good round
Great course, had family in town and they liked it. Challenging, definitely will be back.

Needs work
Bunkers are awful, half under repair. Course needs to be watered more. Whoever mows the course missed patches around the course.
Numerous bunkers were in need of repair which did not enhance play. No mention of this or other areas on course that were in need of repair was mentioned by the pro shop.

Outstanding Staff
I have to give the course 5 stars even though the course is not up to scratch at this time. The staff, particularly the starters Bernard and Nick, were excellent. As a single I got in behind a small 20 person tournament and it could have turned into an extremely long round and an unhappy customer. Bernard was able to direct me past them as well as put me back in place for my finishing holes. Because of this I was even able to finish well ahead of schedule. Nick happily stored my clubs for me until my ride returned and the restaurant staff more than took care of me during my wait. I shall return!

Needs care
I was disappointed in the condition of the course especially the sand traps. No sand, weeds growing and the greens were not very well maintained. Not worth the $50 plus dollars to play.

What happened to this course?!!
Have played this course in previous years and it has always been in good condition. Now it has turned into a dirt track. I would not recommend this course for at least two years and that's if they hire a whole new maintenance staff to oversee the improvements it will require to make this course even respectable. It's a travesty they charged what they did ($80) to put you out on a course in that condition. Forgot to mention that there were also no sand traps due to a reconstruction project on all of the traps that didn't look it was happening at all. Save your money and play somewhere else.

never again
more weeds than grass, all traps are ground under repair as there is no sand, bare spots in middle of fairway. I've seen goat pastures in better shape.
