About
Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Terrible shape
This course is in terrible condition. Fairways and greens are spray painted green everything else is dead. I would expect this quality of conditions on a $20 course not a 70 to $80 course. Only played 9 due to pace. Almost 3 hours for 9 holes.

Getting ready for a renovation?
I have played this course many times over the past 2 years. Currently it is in very poor condition. Most of the course is dried out, and the greens are very springy. Don’t expect your ball to stick to the greens. The pace of play was very slow, almost 3 hours for the first nine. Only reason it sped up was that some groups bailed out. Not worth even the discounted rate.

Course needs work
Played 2/9/2022 course needs some TLC grass is painted and sand traps look like they they have not been groomed in weeks. The pace of play was very slow left after 13 holes the pace of play was brutal it seems they do not have a starter to space out players or push them along. Wont be booking this course until I see some positive review.

Not worth the money
Course needs multi million dollar rehab. Layout good. Not overseeded, fairways dyed green to look as if it had grass. Many bare spots, like hitting off hard pan. Same with the greens. All sand traps were ground under repair as they had no sand. If I was a member, I would be embarrassed to call myself a member of this course.

Don't go here
They stopped watering and grass is completely dried up. They green painted fairway and greens. I wouldn't play here again even it's free.

Very disappointed
I found the course to be in very poor shape. The fairways were spotted with bare spots very little grass, like playing off pavement. Some germs splotches of bare spots.
I played this course several years ago and it was so much better.
Huge disappointment. I will not be back.

No grass
The entire course had no grass. The grass was dormant and they pained it green. The tee boxes, fairways and the greens were all painted dead grass.

Poor condition
Stallion is in very poor shape. No sand in the bunkers, just dirt. Fairways dry and rough. Some greens are good, some have large bumps and holes. Obviously other locals know about this because the place was empty.
A staff person noted I wasn’t the first person to say this. Apparently they need to put a ton of money into fixing the course but that won’t be done til summer.
Stay away. Stallion: Please be honest and inform people ahead of time.

They've let this course go.
The course is in horrible shape. I understand dormant grass off the fairways, but all over the course, including on many greens, it was like playing on hardpan.
