About
Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Sad how far it’s fallen…
Had a friend who had never played here, and was excited to show him this gem of a track. This place used to be awesome (course conditions, staff, etc), but I was literally EMBARRASSED with how poorly this course has been managed since we were there last…my buddy was like “THIS is the same course you told me about? This place is a goat track…”
EVERY bunker has “under repair” signs in them and are unplayable. Fairways are mostly dirt, so if you hit a fairway it’s a 50/50 chance your approach will be off a hardpan dirt lie. Greens are trash. In hindsight I really wish I had taken pictures so share…it’s gross. Unfortunately this last round will be my last memories of this course, as I wouldn’t pay 10¢ to play there again.
What grass
About a third of the fairways were dead or real dormant. Super tight lies all over the course. You don't have to play winter rules but much more fun and fair. Compared to 3 other courses we played in the area, Stallion was hurting the worst by far.

Needs work.
I played this course 2 years ago and it was awesome. That is why we went back. Upon arrival we found out that the course has been neglected. Everything was dry and brown due to not over seeding and watering. The staff was very friendly and apologetic about the conditions but seemed to have a plan in place as to how to make it great again. If that happens I will definitely come back.

Stay Away From Stallion!!!
Absolutely horrendous!!! This course hasn’t been watered in years!! It was like playing in concrete with painted “grass.” You can’t read the “greens” because of all the bumps & the old holes that were replaced properly.
We wanted to quit after 9 holes & get our money back. If GolfNow would let me leave ZERO stars, I would. Save your money & play KISS Mini Golf at the Rio, the conditions will be better.
Nice staff but course and greens were dried out. Bunkers were not playable

Pretty rough! Great layout though.
Fairways are painted dirt/dead grass. Green dirt/dust ruined my wife's new white shoes. All bunkers are unplayable and marked as under repair. Most of the greens were okay. Some had spots similar to the parking lot. Great layout and design. The course has a lot of potential.

Course is in terrible shape, I played great, but they painted the fairways, this will be the next one to close.

I hate to say it but "bad"
As a visitor I had no idea this course was in such rough shape. Staff very nice though and just a shame as back in the day it was probably great, and very busy and "locals" didn't seem to mind. Not sure where to start...but when you check in I was told all 18 holes and their bunkers were ground under repair, and they looked like there is just no maintenance staff and had been neglected for quite some time. Barely any grass in fairways...and lots of just dry dirt spray painted green to make it look like grass. Pace of play was horrible, I ended up stopping with 4-5 holes to go between slow play and course conditions no reason to keep playing. Really hate to do this review but if it helps another visitor in the future not ruin their day than so be it.
