About
Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Very bad course conditions 1/22
The course was in very bad playing condition. I played here a few months ago and it was in good condition. I was told there is some sort of water restriction, which makes sense. Bunkers were all unplayable, greens were bumpy and super dry, tee box and fairways had many bald or dirt spots. Not worth the $42 that was paid. Great staff and clubhouse was the one shining spot

Not a single blade of grass
All of the fairways were painted and no grass exist!! On a golf course in prime time, are you kidding me? And I was charged for it???
Going Downhill
Stallion Mountain use to be one of my favorite courses to play in Vegas.. Over the pasr year the course conditions are declining. Alot of the fairways looked like a minefield. There is no grass. I hit my ball in the middle of fairway and had to move it to a patch of grass to play my 2nd shot. Most of bunkers are under repair with no sand. The greens were super fast and bumpy. Alot if the back tee boxes were not in use. Pace of play was so slow we decided to leave after 15 holes. I will not play here again
There is just too many nicer courses to play in Vegas for same price.

Awful condition for Jan
First time playing here. Course was not full at all. So our twosome never saw any other golfers really. Pace of play was great but I soon realized why. Course is in very rough condition. Even for a $38 hot deal. Most definitely not worth it. Maybe $15. Fairways are rough. Greens were worst I’ve ever played in my life. And I’m not even a golf snob. Hole 8 green is tore up! Huge patches missing. The front 9 is def way worse than back 9. Greens are short and sharp. Like cactus prickles. And dimpled everywhere. My playing partner thought it was some carpet. No way it’s real grass. I’ll never play here again. Waste of time and money. I even shot great score for me considering. Pure luck. So this review isn’t based on playing crappy.
Don’t come in January
It’s my first time playing there and I was surprised by the conditions of the course. Everything was completely dead. The greens weren’t even greens. The fairways were bad that it was like hitting off concrete. Some of the tee boxes were spray painted. Overall, this course needs to look like in the photos that they posted.

Great condition for winter
Greens were in great shape! Keeping in mind it is winter, course conditions were great. Layout is challenging but manageable for a 10 to 15 handicapper. Great scenery! All staff were upbeat, friendly and helpful. Good practice area too.

Stallion Mtn Deserves a Chance
Looking for a course to play near the Strip?! Stallion Mtn is your destination. Course plays pretty fast. You could get 36 holes plus in a day.
Course plays soft in the morning and drys out by noon. Expect a different carry or roll in the AM from the afternoon. Course is in pretty good condition. Plenty of practice space everywhere.
Huge chipping and puttting greens. The range is in good shape too. Only a mile walk from Sams Town and about 7 miles from the strip.

Good choice for proximity to The Strip
First time playing Stallion Mountain and enjoyed the friendly Staff together with the other single who I was paired with early. We were the second group off after some very fast-playing locals and completed the round in just over 3 hours! Only complaint was the VERY frequent hole locations on the greens. Appears they move the pin spots frequently and not allowing the grass to regrow. As a result, putting was like a minefield. Suggestion: Change the Pin Locations less frequently in the winter to allow the grass to grow back...
