Man O' War Golf Course

Played here for the first time while on vacation. Loved the layout. Enjoyed that water hazards were present on what seemed like nearly all the holes. They had the grass on the greens kind of long, which made putts roll very very slow. However, they did roll true. I’m assuming it was to keep it from burning up in the hot summer heat.

The only negative was that they stated they had put a chemical down in the fairway and couldn’t drive in the fairway until around lunchtime. This slowed down play having to walk across to the ball.

Overall it was a really fun course in good shape. I would definitely recommend it to others.

What a course, got a great deal with Golf now, when checking in, we got a few nice unexpected extras with our round. (Lunch, couple drinks, and a couple discounted coupons to play again) Staff was fantastic, course was in decent shape, I'll Definately return!!

Staff was very friendly, helpful and made us feel welcomed. Course was in good shape. This tract is challenging, but very fair. Good shots are rewarded, but poor shots are not overly penalized. I will play again.

The course is in great condition. We were 1st time players and it was very receptive to first timers. We were blessed to be paired up with 2 very nice members. Steve and Joey were awesome. The clubhouse staff was amazing. Got the chicken salad and a cold beer! Perfect day at M.O.W.

The course was in wonderful condition from tee to green. The course itself is fairly straight forward and while there is a lot of water it doesn’t come into play much except for really wild shots. Played off the back tees and the course is relatively easy with greens receptive and not too undulating. Enjoyable course but there are more challenging layouts around for similar prices.

The course was super. Don’t let the amount of water phase you, it just means you have to think a bit about your shot ( which you should anyway).

Would play again. Tons of hazards, Water all over and compacted ground near the water so close will be in.

The course is kept up very well. So much water to contend with. I generally don't leave balls behind, but this course got three of my balls. Before we really got started, we were enjoying hot dogs. We teed off on 2, when we returned to the cart, something had bitten off a hot dog. We looked around a saw a crow, it followed up around the course. Even swooped down on our cart a few times. We saw the movie "The Brids".

Although very flat. The water on nearly every hole made it very challenging!

The course layout is great and challenging.The woman in the snack bar was excellent, vey friendly and accommodating. My only complaint was the starter, while I understand we had a specific tee time we arrived early as we were from out the area and like to be early. They had nobody going out in front of us, but held us to our tee time at exactly 1 pm. So being a new course it took a few holes to get adjusted and then were pressured by people behind us. Had 2 rude guys just drive past us to the next hole…We allowed a single to play through. We finished in about 4 hours and 15 minutes which considering we hadn’t played before we didn’t feel was so bad. Had they just left us go even 15 minutes early (again nobody went out for at least 45 minutes before we did) the experience would have been 5 stars all around.
