One of Myrtles Best

Man O War always comes through. The design is exceptional. There are a lot of courses in Myrtle that demand much higher rates for less of an experience. Expect water and a number of islands but they are fair. The opening and ending par 5's are birdie opportunities. The back nine is a blast.

Man-O-War was exceptional!

Was down in Myrtle Beach and played the three Mystical Golf courses. Enjoy then all, but Man-O-War is my favorite. A true golfer's layout that everyone can play. The greens couldn't have been better. Really worth another visit.

Great Layout and Fun

Came to Myrtle Beach and someone recommended this course. After playing a previous course this was a nice surprise. There is obviously alot of water on the course but it is not too demanding on tee shots. It provides a challenge but is very fair. You are more likely to get in trouble with a bunker on a drive. The water comes more into play when attacking the greens. Unfortunately when I played it had rained a ton the day before so the greens were very soft. This caused some issues with divot repair spots and spike marks but other than that the greens were smooth. Green pace was not extremely fast.

My Man O' War Manifesto

Played Man O" War on a perfect 75-degree South Carolina day. The conditions of this course were a 9.5 on a scale of one to 10.

The lake that comes into play on 14 out of 18 holes was so still you'd think you could walk on water. Between the lake, the conditions, and the pine trees, it felt like I was playing in a postcard setting.

If you make a point of planning your tee shot, you should be able to shoot a good score. Also enjoyed having a cold one after the round in the clubhouse that sits on stilts overlooking the lake.

Definitely would recommend Man O' War if you're vacationing in Myrtle Beach.

Water water everywhere.

Man o' War is a good place for the average hacker like myself. As with any course that you play for the first time, there are some places that you don't want to hit the ball that you don't know about. Water comes into play on most holes but as we all know, it's just an illusion and not there. I found the course to be in good shape and the greens medium fast. Most of the par 4's are under 400 so that's a plus. I would definitely play here again. But this time I'm bringing the bug spray.

OK--VERY Flat--Not a lot of character

Pretty good value for the $$$ with sandwich and a couple beers included. Course itself OK. Fairways pretty nice but greens, while challenging with few straight putts, pretty beat up with folks not repairing the ball marks. Pace was VERY
slow front 9 (2+30) but picked up a bit on back with the Marshall's assist. Middle of the pack for MB courses.

Mystical Golf Package round 2/3

The course was in good shape but showed some signs from being the end of summer and some heavy play. The course layout was not as difficult as past reviews had made me expect. If you have a little bit of length and can keep it out of the water a good score is very attainable. Rough was rather short and easily played from.

Cool Course

I've been visiting Myrtle Beach for years and have played a lot of courses in the area. Man-O-War ranks among the best and is certainly one of the collest layouts you can find.biblove the water features that touch almost every hole and always look forward to the consecutive island greens. Great pace of play the last few times I was there and the staff is always friendly! This, for me, is the gem of the Mystical Golf portfolio.

Pure Golf

Man O' War is pure golf. I loved the course, could be my new favorite Myrtle Beach course, it's definitely a must play if you are in the area. We saved the best for last on our buddies trip, we all left extremely happy. Great test for every handicap level, used all our clubs to hit different shots. Staff was kind and courteous, play moved right along even with the amount of water hazards. You have to play it, there's no question.
