Chimera Golf Club

Even though we never slowed anyone down behind us, we were forced to skip a hole due to our pace of play. We got rushed to finish our round.

In 20+ years of play, I was never forced to skip a hole. The marshals followed us for a few holes after they made us skip the 8th hole with nobody in the fairway behind us.

The pro shop didn’t have anything to say besides we were behind the pace of play for the course.

We play golf to enjoy ourselves, not to get rushed around.

We will not consider playing there again.

This place just made us skip a hole because we were 11 minutes behind pace. Never in my 30 plus years of golfing has this happened. There was no group waiting behind us and as soon as they warned us to speed it up we did so immediately. Exactly one hole after the warning (hole 16) because apparently we took a while on hole 15, they said we had to skip 17 and go straight to 18. We played on a Thursday for gods sake and once again there was absolutely NO GROUP waiting behind us. This place is notorious for bad management and obviously we will not be back. Oh by the way we ended up finishing the round in less than four hours so I’m not sure how much faster this place expects you to play after paying good money for a full round. We also tried to talk to a manager afterwards but Taylor, the guy at the register either was a poor manager or he never let us talk to the real manager because he was adamant that 11 to 13 minutes falling behind even though there was no one waiting was fair to deprive us of a full round. Skip this course if possible and go where there are semi-reasonable rangers/ managers that take care of paying customers.

Course was in very nice shape however the sand traps were like hitting off cement paths.

we absolutely love this course and play it all the time but they need to Marshall the course to speed up play. It is way too slow.

Great variety of holes and different ways to make your way around the course .

Pace under 4 hours … had a good time playing as we got pair up with two local golfers 🏌️‍♀️..

Overall excellent partial round. Unfortunately there was a police and SAWT threat near the course, so everyone needed evacuated!!!!!! Staff handled it well, refunded rented equipment costs etc. This was a first for the course (and me too!). I am waiting on the the refund through teeoff.com or whatever is done.... if anything.

Start to almost finish was courteous and pleasant. I was paired with a local couple (missed my tee time getting coffee!!!).... luckily I missed it though as the 2 good elderly friends that play regularly, were super nice and fun to play with. I'm a mid teens handicap....ish. There is threat of hitting houses or road...... but don't be bad if you need to putt off the tee haha.

Nice course. Wide fairways, great greens, not overly difficult. Just a nice course for an average price in the area. Definitely worth playing.

course was great as always. range sucks, balls were awful. needs good mats they are always better than dirt .with that off my chest it was a fun time.thanks for the experiance

We played this course while in Vegas for a couple of days. Fun course with moderate difficulty. Well maintained tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Bunkers were a little solid, but not terrible. Could be the time of year. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Play was slower than what we are used to. However, starter informed me that there were a few bachelor parties ahead of us. Probably common in Vegas. Total play time was 5 hours and 15 minutes. Really didn't bother us as we were matched with 2 other players from Chicago that were fun to golf with and it gave us additional time to enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains.
