Chimera Golf Club

Played Pauite Friday which is similar cost and rating. There is no comparison. No real practice green. Facilities is an old temporary building that is falling apart. The design is okay, but it is poorly maintained. Greens were in bad condition and winter over seeding was spotty. They just painted one fairway green rather the seed it. If Pauite is 4.5 then this place is 2.5. Nonresidents should avoid at their prices

Played today and was pleasantly surprised. Expected a more narrow course based in some in-line descriptions, but it’s was played out very fair. Even on most bad shots, you’d either get a kick back toward the fairway or be able to hit from the desert landscape w/o too much trouble. Greens rolled well for the time of year. Would definitely play here again.

Great course. Communication required from the staff who manage cart pick up with customers waiting, instead of waiting there for their recognition.

Fantastic course. Teed off at 12:45, finished at 4.45. Course in excellent shape . Only two things need work: the geese and putting sand in the traps

Enjoyed my round, if can keep to rates down I'd be playing there more often

For a couple who just arrived in Las Vegas from Canada the course was in excellent condition. Fairway were green and firm, tee boxes were decent shape and although the greens were a bit Woolly they rolled decent. Will play here again on our trip.

Not sure what was up with the condition of the course. Greens were not good, fairways, tee boxes poor. Played Paiute for same money. Understand its winter but something else was going on with this course. Layout was pretty good but I won't be going back to the course given other options in vegas

Such a beautiful course, design, conditions, staff was very accommodating and to top it off with a truly great value for the money

This was my second time to play Chimera and I remain a big fan. Our group had handicaps from 12-24 and everyone thought it was fun and fair. The fairways and greens were in great shape. Some of the tee boxes were pretty divot-y but that's a very minor gripe. The beverage cart came around often and the Slice 19 restaurant at the clubhouse was perfect both before and after the round. The rental clubs for $65 were pretty comperable to other places in town and it came with two sleeves of balls which was nice. You coiuldn't hit off the grass at the range which was fine but made it difficult to warm up with driver. That may have been a tempoary thing. Overall I was very happy and I'm sure I'll be back to play here again on a future Vegas trip.

The reguar maximum of four people per group was not followed by the group in front of us, they had five people. As a result, my group asked if we could go ahead, to which they agreed. However, because of how long we waited, we were only able to play 16 out of the 18 holes we paid for. We were told by the ranger later that we were not allowed to pass anybody, but again, we were told we could by the group in front of us. My group is assuming that we were reported, even though the group in front of us exceeded the maximum group number and they gave us permission to do so. Such actions were displeasing to our experience.

Pace of play too slow, trying to put too many people out on the course. We were 40 minutes late off the tee. So time management is not their strong point.
