Chimera Golf Club

Company was great paired up with two people. So slow waited every shot 5 hr round. Pair had to use 3 carts to finish the round.

I really enjoy playing this course. The layout is great and each hole is somewhat unique. The greens were a bit spotty and very soft, but I imagine it is because of the time of year. We were a threesome and played in 3:45 minutes, even with quite a few golfers on the course. Play was very fast. From the Pegasus (back tees) the course is challenging especially holes #4, #5, #6, #9, #16, and #18. Hitting of of range mat is okay, but the balls were really worn out.

Pretty course in a scenic neighborhood. Were delayed starting by 1 hour due to a frost delay which put pressure on the amount of daylight we had to finish. We followed a local women's tournament but course staff were very accommodating in trying to get as many golfers on the course as possible. We just barely had enough light to finish. Alot of uphill holes with elevated greens.

The greens were terrible. Sparse grass, divots galore, lots of ball movement to the hole. I paid 45, so I was a little frustrated, but would have Ben furious at the average 75 rate.

Chimera looks like it could be a great course, but the conditions were rough considering their daily price is $139 for Non-Residents. The tee boxes were either void of grass or uncut. I understand it's December, but then if a course isn't going to do maintenance, they shouldn't be charging the full rate. From the road, it looks great - but every single green had damage due to ball marks, it was almost impossible to get a true roll on the greens. We were rolling the ball in the fairway to get a good lie. I got a Hot Deal for $53 and even at that rate, it felt overpriced considering the conditions.

My guess is they get a lot of out of state play, as it seemed like a lot of 'buddies groups', so they probably don't have to worry about too many repeat customers. Maybe it'll be in better shape come summer, but for today - I wouldn't play it without a hot deal. The starter wasn't very friendly or welcoming, he seemed annoyed, maybe because they were running behind. Pace of play was pretty good, but we were almost 25 minutes after our tee time before we were permitted to start.

All the staff was friendly from the bag drop valet, pro shop, the starter check in at first tee to the grounds maintenance crew. Started tee off at 6:52 am, temp was in the 50s , no wind, the greens and fairways conditions was nice, but the sand traps were soaked and wet, but other than that it was great. Looking forward to playing many more times there.

First, I think the people in the club house should mentioned that there was a tournament on. There was more than 45 mins. wait on the first tee. Second the greens were hard and difficult to read. Also, green side bunkers need more sand to make good plays on the ball. I must mention the fairways were beautiful, could have used that same amount of attention to the greens. The outside services people very excellent in there attention to the player. Most of all Harvey, very customer oriented. Hopefully the course will have some improvement in the future.

WE ALWAYS ENJOY PLAYING AT CHIMERA. EXCELLENT SERVICE. TEE TIMES ON TIME AND PLAY GOOD PACE.

I really can't complain too much for $40 and got in 18 in right before it got dark. Had not golfed at Chimera in about 6 months and was surprised to see dried out fairways. Also, some of the greens were really rough -- lots of of ball marks dried out areas. Hoperfully Chimera is not heading toward the conditions of Revere, Legacy, and Wildhorse? That would be most tragic... I guess this is the sign of the times at Las Vegas / Henderson golf courses?

Best course I have played in Las Vegas. A little too crowded. took about 4.57 hours to complete.

chimera was a lovely course to play. it was in nice condition and overall it was a great day!
