Wolf at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort

I played the Wolf course, just spectacular, loved it. I understand the other 2 courses, which I will be back to play soon, are great courses as well. I HIGHLY recommend this course to everyone. Fantastic views, the staff was extremely professional and you cannot beat the amenities! Love this course!

Incredible condition year round! Great staff, best carts in Vegas, beautiful course.. but it is HARD

Pros:

-Course in great condition even after storm.

-tee boxes are great. Fairways were great. Greens were lightning, but true.

-solid range and have a restaurant and bar/snack shacks around the property.

-fun, memorable holes

Cons:

-took 4 hours and 45 minutes. Back nine I had to wait 15 minutes between shots… not fun

-the old Marshall is super rude! I’ll chalk it up as hopefully he was having a bad day. It was my first time playing there. I asked a couple questions. Then he proceeds to call me “superstar” and ask me where I’m from in a condescending way. Lol. I’ve played golf my whole life. I said CA even though I’m a local. I asked if I could skip the threesome in front of me (I played solo on back 9) and he said the guys in front were his buddies and I couldn’t pass. Isn’t part of his job to help control the pace? Whatever. He kinda ruined the day since the back was sooo slow.

Challenge is more about length and although the par 3s were more visually impressive than Snow, the rest of Wolf wasn't really that memorable but excellent course conditioning with greens a little firmer and faster than Snow which I played a couple of days before - definitely a lot more slope and subtle breaks on Wolf and I'd say it was in marginally better condition than Snow when I played. Excellent practice facilities and well stocked pro shop with friendly staff everywhere.

The golf course was in fantastic condition. I felt this was a fairly tough course. I believe it is the longest course in Nevada from the tips. I felt the layout was okay but nothing special. It didn't make my top 50 courses played but still a great course you should play if In the area. We ended up getting monsoon winds the last three holes that were between 40-50mph which was pretty crazy. I got my first eagle of 2023 on one of the par fives which was about the only bright spot on the course. Our group of 7 all shot their worst scores of the trip here so not sure if we were all worn out due to it being the last of 6 rounds on our trip or if it was truly a pretty tough course.

Excellent conditions. Beautiful scenery. Various options off the tee box! For example: driver, wood or long iron.

Cons:

Bit out of the way depending on where you are coming from

Wind is an absolute luck of the draw

Restaurant/ clubhouse wasn’t too impressive

Great shape and pace of play was on time. Staff very friendly and the staff at the on-site bar and restaurant - Millers very welcoming.

Great shape and layout was challenging Hing at times. Play the proper tees for the beat experience.

First time playing at Paiute ,, course was lush all around! Best shape of any desert course I’ve seen in years!!! Staff and grounds crew all very nice and food and bar very nice, will definitely be back!

No question the best kept track we have played in years. No burn spots, level tee boxes, groomed bunkers.

Will be back.

Amazing shape even with all the hot weather. Awesome layout one of the best in Las Vegas.
