The Classic Club

Although the course was extremely challenging for our ability, we thought it was outstanding. The conditions of the greens and fairways were suberb. It was a special circumstance to afford to play on this course otherwise it is too expensive for us. Most enjoyable experience.

Beautiful course. Course conditions pretty good. Views and layout make it worth it. Staff a bit rude to my wife when she arrived to pick me up....said it was closed and she was not allowed in...said she could not get a drink...but the drink had already been ordered and I was waiting to enjoy a few moments with her.

Will consider other course choices in the future.

We booked this course same day. Conditions were phenomenal. The fairways were like carpet, greens rolled true, and I thought it was one of the better courses I have ever played. Golf towel was included for free as well as a food and average voucher for $15.. Teed off before 3. Seemed like we had the course to ourselves and the slight breeze kept us cool. We will be back for sure. The only negative we're the bunkers were very hard packed below the top inch or so. It took me a bit to get used to. Pretty forgiving tee shots but they did seem to lead your shots to fairway bunkers.

We liked the course. Unlike any other course we've played in P Springs -- lots of water, some hills and grass rough. My one complaint was that the greens did not roll consistently from hole to hole - some fast and some slow. I'm not sure I've played a course in this area with inconsistent greens before.

They treat every player like royalty here.

Played this course last in 2012 so it's been awhile, what was I waiting for? As I remembered it and reconfirmed - fantastic layout, always in great shape, fast greens, excellent warm up facilities and locker room and challenging. This is one of the best in Palm Springs. It seems a bit pricey but includes a $15 food voucher to their world class restaurant and compared to the other top courses in the area is actually a bargain. Word of caution in the afternoon of its windy this course plays tough.

We played classic club for the first time and were very happy with everything! The course layout is tough but fair so it works for mid to low handicappers. They even have a forward orange tee for beginners. The conditions were great and the scenery is beautiful. We played in just over four hours which was awesome. No waiting on any tees which can happen on some of the public courses. Staff were friendly everywhere and the lunch afterwards was delicious.

We loved it and are going back today!

The Classic is always a treat to play. It's in great condition and the layout is magnificent. Nobody expects a course like this in this area east of Highway 10. It has a beautiful clubhouse and was built for the Bob Hope Classic Tournament. Play it when it's not too windy. We make a point of playing here every time we come down and are never disappointed. Each hole is a great challenge in a beautiful setting. Watch out for greens with false fronts and fairways which slope towards water or traps. The greens are as quick as any in the area, but they run true. Spend some time on the practice green before your game.

Everything was great. We rated staff friendliness lower because of the Starter, who was uncommunicative and grouchy. However, this was dramatically offset by Gina, the waitress in Bellatrix, who was outstanding; and by the rest of the staff, all of whom were wonderful.

Course experience was excellent, and we would definitely play there again. Cost was a bit steep given the "deals" that one can find in the area.

From the time you drive up to the impressive golf club to the time you leave you get the impression that this facility is a cut above. The price for gold includes golf, practice facilities, a nice towel momento, a $15 food voucher and first class treatment all around. The course is set up for seasoned golfers but is fair to decent ball strikers. Greens are the best I have played in quite some time. The food and beverage service was also above average and reasonably priced. All around this place is good value for the serious golfer.

You can tell when you get out of the car the attitude that a course brings. In this case it was about customer service. It was every employee's goal no matter who to make sure we had a very good time. They did not disappoint! This place is one of my all time favorites!!! I will be back!!!

This was absolutely the most well-kept course I have played. The grasses were green, full, and trimmed perfectly.

The layout and hazard features provided a nice challenge; not easy but not too difficult.

Staff was friendly throughout and the carts were very comfortable. Cart GPS is also a nice feature here.

I would definitely play here again and recommend it to friends.

What an awesome place!!! We couldn't have asked for a better golfing experience!!! We will be back!!!

I enjoyed the front nine. But, the nearly 3 hour back nine will not bring me back.

Wouldn't expect to play a course with as much water as this one in the desert. Overall extremely challenging!

Dry conditions on the fast fairways made it a task to stay in play.

Would love a second crack at this gem!
