Balfron Golf Club
About
Balfron Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course that was recreated from its original layout by respected Scottish golf architect Robin Hiseman. The new nine-hole golf course was opened in 1994, and it was extended to 18 holes 7 years later.
The Baltron golf course is located six miles from Loch Lomond and 20 miles north of Glasgow. There are inspiring views of the local countryside, eerily reminiscent of playing golf in the Scottish highlands.

Recent game at Balfron
Played Balfron on 31/5/17 after a recommendation and really enjoyed it.
A friendly welcome on arrival and we were advised we would be better going off in front of the medal was great advice.
The layout of the course was excellent and playable for all levels. Some short par 4s and longer ones as well as great range of par 3s. Views were fantastic and the condition of the course was excellent with a full team of green keepers working on it.
Only slight complaint was the pace of the greens. Very slow but smooth.
Without rushing round we took 3 hours 15 mins which on a warm day was acceptable rather than the 4 or 5 hours you can get some places.
Will be back again for sure.
very welcoming
course was in superb condition with stunning views of
the surrounding countryside ,great value for money and a very warm welcome.
well worth a visit
Little Gem
For the time of year the course was good. Some challenging holes but enjoyable.
The course is set high in the Trossachs and the views from every hole are spectacular so take your camera.
We met the green keeper and he was very friendly and informative.
The club house is very basic with all amenities and honesty box for fees and goods hence the fees are low.
Balfron village has many places for food and drink after playing very handy to the course.
We will be going back in the summer to see those views again.
