Stoneybrook East Golf Course
About
Located in Central Florida, Stoneybrook East Golf Course is a championship course that has all the signatures of classic Florida golf courses. Although traditional in design there are some modern elements that lend to the overall challenge of the course. The large fairways are naturally tree-lined and the generous greens are multi-tiered and undulating. The green are also immaculately kept. Preserved wetlands and waterways create hazards that come into play on a few holes. There is also abundant wildlife on the course. Stoneybrook East Golf Course features three sets of tees.

Rough Shape
This course seemed to be on the upswing earlier this summer but has taken a drastic turn downhill. Tee boxes were a mess and some were near impossible to hit from. Even if you landed in the fairway you would most likely be hitting out of rough as they are so overgrown. Greens were abysmal and clearly had not been tended to in quite sometime. Summer rains have not helped but the amount of standing water shows the drainage system is in need of attention. They are going to have to come down in price while they get the course back in shape. They charged $18 last year when it went through a rough patch. That seems about right.
Couldn't possibly give a lower review for this garbage heap
Easily the worst course conditions I've ever played. The tee boxes were overrun with weeds, the fairways were patchy, the bunkers were basically concrete lakes and the greens were 30% dead spots. I know we've had a lot of rain in the area, but every green I hit from > 50 yards saw the ball plug. Lots of rain, I get it but not a single other course I play has this issue. Felt like playing a round of golf in a wildlife preserve. To actually charge $40 for this complete train wreck is criminal.
I'll say the guy in the pro shop was courteous, as were the ladies in the refreshments window. And we were mercifully done in about 3 hours because so few were out there.
It honestly feels like this golf course shut down weeks ago, and they just keep letting people go out anyway. Go literally anywhere else to play unless you hate yourself and feel like you deserve the torture of this place.
Disappointed
First four holes fairways are in bad shape.
A lot of greens are in need of work.
Bad shspe
Bad shape ,weeds weeds weeds , high grass.been a while since playing this course. More than likely my last.
Disappointed
The course isn’t in good shape first four holes very bad fairways.
Greens need a lot of work. Tees are mostly weeds.
Not good
Course is in terrible condition, many tee boxes had no grass or only crabgrass, One third of the greens were splotchy and rough. Bunkers have never been good poor drainage very little sand. The good news is pace of play is excellant nobody playing here and there are no rakes in the traps so you move right along.
Pathetic
This course may be in the worse shape of any course I have ever played. Every tee box was in terrible shape. If it wasn’t dirt it was crab grass. The greens were not much better. Every bunker was either filled with water or had not been worked on for quite some time. Most fairways were just dirt.
This course is not worth more than $10 at best. To charge $40 is robbery.
Terrible Condition
This course used to be one of Orlando's best. Those days are LONG gone. I think ownership has given up "again" on this course. Not a decent Tee box on the whole course. Crabgrass EVERYWHERE ! DIRT/MUD patches on greens. One of the worst courses I have ever played on.
Decent course alittle to expensive for its play
Course was decent. Employees were really great and sweet. Would play here again if they dropped there price to prices for an average golf course
If I could give it less I would have
This place is a total dump...
save your money and look for other courses
What happened?
The greens and course was doing so well not that long ago but it has reached abysmal conditions again. The greens are full of bare spots and the fairways are loaded with weeds. Traps are all mud and most tee boxes are unusable. The course looks like a $15 muni but they charge as though nothing is wrong. This course needs emergency help ASAP. It’s unplayable again which is sad for a well laid out track.
Lots of construction
Greens were in pretty good condition, there was a lot of grounds work under construction. At least I hope it is being worked on.
Great!
I had a Great Day Playing Stoneybrook and will be back very soon.
Great to play alone
It was nice to play alone but the course is in bad shape. Tee boxes and many greens are horrible. Some are ok. Interesting course. It’s a shame it could be better
