Stoneybrook East Golf Course
About
Located in Central Florida, Stoneybrook East Golf Course is a championship course that has all the signatures of classic Florida golf courses. Although traditional in design there are some modern elements that lend to the overall challenge of the course. The large fairways are naturally tree-lined and the generous greens are multi-tiered and undulating. The green are also immaculately kept. Preserved wetlands and waterways create hazards that come into play on a few holes. There is also abundant wildlife on the course. Stoneybrook East Golf Course features three sets of tees.

Horrible Condition
The course has not been taken care of at all, and it screams lack of financial strength to maintain a pretty good layout. There were many weeds on tee boxes and in fairways and rough. The greens were patchy with dead spots. Expect lots of time looking for your ball in the rough, as they haven’t been consistent with mowing. Observed two 5-some’s that led to some slow play. No ranger to move things along. Would not play again!
Most of these reviews are people expecting to play a PGA level course
This is my home course. Have played more times then I even wanna know. It has its ups and downs just like any golf course. I stopped playing here all the time a few months ago. No reason just wanted to play new courses. I almost didn’t book a tee time a couple days ago become the reviews were so bad. 90% of these reviews under mine are people who are expecting to play a PGA level course or something. Sure it could probably be a little cheaper then $40 late in the day but it’s pretty solid. Bunkers aren’t great but everything else is pretty solid/average. Tee boxes are actually tee boxes again. Greens have some bare spots but they’re decent. (It’s definitely been better here) No cart girl or water available on the course (always like that) but other then that it’s a solid place to play a quick round. Never too many people here. If they put some more sand in the bunkers and get a concession/cart girl the $40 would make more sense. I bet more people would play here too
bad day
I play this course about once a month so I know the conditions are usually poor at best. Yesterday it was cart path only and due to the wetness only the greens were mowed. Very hard to find balls even when you knew roughly where they were...actually lost a ball I saw land on the fairway
Just Sad
Just like everyone has said, fairways are bad, tee boxes are all over the place, and 85% of the greens are patchy. Started playing this course 4 years ago when I moved to Orlando…it was BAD. Then they got new staff, put money into the greens and it really came along nice. They started to charge more money to play which was understandable but they didn’t put the money back into the course, equipment or staff???? This is my local course but it’s getting tough to even spend $40 to play.
Stoneybrook
Course is great but sad to see it in bad of condition as it is. Terrible
Total crap
Have played here several times. They need to hire a grounds keeper Tee boxes either dirt or full of weeds. Hard to tee off. Greens have bare patches, sand traps hard, most fairways and ruff were very soggy. Need to work on drainage. It’s Florida it rains in the summer. Will not play again until I see several good reviews regardless of the price
Needs work.
Greens, tee boxes, and cart paths all need work. Fairways are okay.
Don't Do It
I'm an avid golfer and in the 20 years I've been playing this is probably the worst course I have ever played the greens were all eaten up. On almost every hole. The fairways were retty high and the tee box looked like I was hitting out of the woods.
This course should be closed. This is the first time I played a round of golf and felt like they should have given me my money back. Also I think the advertisement indicated they had GPS (no gps)
Don't do it
This was the worst golf course that I have played in the last 3 years and I played weekly at different courses the greens were horrendous karenda's the tea boxes look like the rough and the fairway there were ways everywhere the course was in horrible condition
nice design
the fairways and rough were well defined, but lots of crabgrass through the course especially on the tee boxes. .
Tees full of weeds as were the fairways. Granted, a lot of rain hasn't helped but the course doesn't look cared for. Blotches on the greens. I live here and will not play again until it gets better.
It’s Orlando, WAAAYY better courses for the same price
Where to start…crab grass and unkept tee boxes, mud pit and grab grass fairways, rough that looked like it haven’t been mowed two weeks, the mud pit burnt out greens or total lack of maintenance on irrigation/drainage. This place was an absolute disaster. On top of that they had the gall charge $45!! For this time of year in Orlando you can find much better deals at better courses. I’m a resident in the city and play every weekend. We have this place a shot and will not be returning. Need to change the name to Stoney Crooks.
Rough Shape
This course seemed to be on the upswing earlier this summer but has taken a drastic turn downhill. Tee boxes were a mess and some were near impossible to hit from. Even if you landed in the fairway you would most likely be hitting out of rough as they are so overgrown. Greens were abysmal and clearly had not been tended to in quite sometime. Summer rains have not helped but the amount of standing water shows the drainage system is in need of attention. They are going to have to come down in price while they get the course back in shape. They charged $18 last year when it went through a rough patch. That seems about right.
