Green Valley Country Club

About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

Green Valley
The course needs to do something about SLOW play. Its the 3rd time over the course of 18 months, that I have played here and each time our group CRAWLED around the course. Why do I keep coming back? I keep thinking the next time will be better. I was wrong. BTW this was a Tuesday and not the weekend, so you've been warned if you choose to invest your $$ here.
Like the layout
I like this courses layout. It is actually a fun course but overall condition isn’t great. It could be a great course. I play it once every month or so just because I like the layout.
Fun Course that has unfair reviews
So I do take the real negative reviews lightly. Could just be a mad girlfriend or any hater of an employee. This course is a $2-$2.50 per hole course.meaning a fair price is $36 weekdays to $45 weekend rate. I played for $27 so that was a great deal. I played alone and was held up a little on the back but still finished under 3 hours. Tee box’s though not perfectly level has plenty of grass and level areas to tee off from. The fairways were fine just play winter rules but there was grass and decent grass at that. The people that say they have no grass obviously weren’t in the fairways but the rough also were very playable. The bunkers were in very good shape and they have the new brush rakes so that’s a plus also. The most important feature to me are the greens and these also were good minus a patch here or there but I never had an issue with them at all. I felt the layout was fun with every hole being different than the last. To me the only weird thing is the sand they give you for repairing your divots was closer to mulch than anything so was unusual to mulch your divots. This course is fine, fair and fun and glad I tried it out first myself. I do recommend it but no it’s not private country. Club nice it is public good and will play it again. Staff also was friendly.
Poor condition
Very little grass in fairways. Tee boxes pretty beat up. Greens were very poor, need watering and chemicals.
unfair greens, rock hard fairways and sandy teeboxes
good luck stopping the ball on the greens if you miss the putt on certain holes, the greens are very hard and if you got a downhill putt good luck. The fairways are very hard especially on the 1st 3 holes if you can hit of cement you'll do just fine. The tee boxes are not level and a lot of them you are teeing off on dirt. For paying over 50 bucks seems the course should be in better condition. The way the course is now it should be no more than a 30 dollar course.,
Nice Layout greens marginal at best
First time played in over two years. Nothing seems to have improved. Greens are like putting on my driveway. Too many better courses in the area to play here.
Fun course
Being a single I was paired with 2 fantastic guys! We got out first ahead of an outing and had a great time. The grass is sparce in some spots, but it's still very early in the season. The greens are a little tricky, but fun Definitely would go back.
Green Valley Golf Club
Due to troubled economic times this course has become difficult to enjoy. The layout and narrow tee shots are a challenge for golfers of any level. The fairways and tee boxes are the worst for wear and difficult to find good areas to tee or hit from. The greens were fast but this was due to barely having grass on top. The price was certainly higher than the conditions for this time of year. I hope this course can get back to its former condition as it's a great old school course that allows you to hit every shot in your bag.
