Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course

About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

Challenging but fair
Nice course friendly staff. Good pace of play & in great condition
Neglect
I can’t believe I drove 50 minutes to play this course. It’s in terrible shape. It’s been neglected and needs water bad.
Hidden gem
This course is my favorite next to southern dunes and this course last year was absolutely trashed no grass bare greens it was disappointing to say the least I drove past it this morning to actually go play deer island and when I saw how green it was and in better shape visually than last year I got a tee time on GN for 10:51 and when I arrived the lady up front said that they had put a lot of work into it the past couple of months and it showed the course was in fabulous shape except for a couple of area's but still fantastic I recommend this course highly and I hope they keep the costs down .
Ranger needed
Started my round at 9:00am and ended 3:00pm. Totally ridiculous pace of play. One 4some held every one back. I was a single and they wouldn’t let me play through. That’s why a ranger is needed. I love playing here, but pace of play has to be better.
What Happened!? Buy a lawnmower!
Played here many times and was awestruck to find the fairways a mess with weeds and barespots. Rough was well... rough to say the least. And the greens which are usually great, were so slooooww that and downhill put on a steep slope that on flat ground should have gone past the hole, stopped half way down on an 8ft put. Not to mention on some other of the steeper slopes the ball if stopped in the middle just stayed there like velcro. At least get the greens to a stimp of 9-10. These no exaggeration were probably about 5-6. Please put the course back into shape. Don't become Stoneybrook West.
Great golf experience, a must play!
The new management has made vast improvements. It is a very nice layout. Staff is great, they take a lot of pride in the course. Cant wait to see what they will do for executive course.
S L O W Fuzzy Greens!
The course is in better shape than it was a few months ago. The rough, fairways, and greens needed to be cut. The greens were VERY slow due to the long grass on them.
Fun, fun, fun
Course is improving, getting back to where it use to be.
Looking good
Lots of improvements to greens and fairways, incredible compared to just a. Couple months back.
Slowly getting better
The course is slowly getting better, but there is way too much "goose grass & weeds" on the greens. Makes for difficult putting. The improvements are welcomed but for the money they need to do more. Kings Ridge is to nice of a course to let it go to waste.
