Yocha Dehe
Amazing golf course, great layout and hole designs. Good mix of long and short holes with elevation changes--Not sure who Brad Bell is but he did one heck of a job designing and building this golf course.
The tee's, fairways, and greens were in perfect condition. Bunkers were also well groomed. Was nice to hit a couple bunker shots out of fluffy sand.
The practice range was also very nice; sort of unique to be hitting uphill at varied green targets with bunkering.
The
Great course
This is the 7th time I have played this course and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing each time. It is very challenging from the black and fairly easy from the white tees. The back nine is my favorite with many water holes to enjoy the shear beauty of the course. The one thing I wish they could do is have lower cost but I know that may not be realistic. I highly recommend this course and hope to play at least one more time before the year is over.
Awesome course in NO Cal
Found this course online when i was looking for courses to play on my trip through California. As soon as i saw the images i had to play it, and let me tell you when you get there it does not disappoint. The view from the 1st tee is amazing and you could stand up there and hit shots all day and not get bored..
The course was in great shape and the greens rolled pure, although a little slow due to the heat. It is a super fun lay out with great views through out the round.
Water is stationed through out the course and they great you with a towel after your round.
Definitely play again.
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!!!
We had played this course before and it was absolutely IMMACULATE! Everything about it screamed TOP NOTCH!! However, this time, the course was in terrible condition. The fairways had bare spots and other issues, and the greens were HORRIFIC!! This was extremely disappointing since this course has a reputation for having some of the best conditions in Northern California.
We also had a ridiculous experience during our round. We teed off with no one in front of us. The other 2 players that we got paired with were not very good golfers, so they took a lot of shots. However, they played "ready" golf and picked up when their score on a hole got too high. We watched as we were playing, and the group behind us only had to wait for our group on 1 shot on 1 hole. When we finished hole #7, the marshall drove up to our group. This was the first time we had seen him all day. He advised that we had been holding the entire course up behind us and that we had to skip #8 and proceed to hole #9. The group behind us had just arrived on the tee at #7 as we walked off the 7th green! But instead of arguing, we went to #9. When we finished the hole, we looked back and saw that the group behind us had not even walked off the green at #8! So, there was absolutely no reason for the marshall to make us skip a hole, because we weren't holding anyone up!!!
One of Nor Cal's best
Pampered golf at its best. This course has many fairway bunkers that make you have to manage the course.
Will Golf Again!!!!!
Great staff who were very accommodating. The course was in great shape. We went late morning and it was a little warm. However, they provided refrigerated bottled water every 3 holes. Cart girl came by frequently and was very pleasant. At the end of our round they provided a wet towel soaked in ice water with a hint of mango. First Class. Will golf again.

Well worth the drive
The course is in good condition and we really enjoy the course layout. It is challenging for all levels of play. I am 60 years young, a 3 handicap and I didn't have my "A" game but still shot 77 so come out and play. We enjoyed the casino especially when you win.
Yocha Dehe Review
Course was in nearly ideal conditions. Beautiful views and scenery. Only negative was the Bunkers were very wet.................almost unplayable. Fairways were in fantastic condition as well as most greens.
Just takes a while to get there but the ride is worth playing this course.
This is the best
Love this course it is a very nice lay out . The people are always friendly and helpful. I will definitely play again.
I feel.like a VIP
The staffs are excellent. Like I said I feel like a VIP. Overall 6 stars!!!
Incredible
From the moment we drove on the property we knew this was going to be a special course. We've played some of the nicest courses in Oregon and Washington and this ranks right up there. Staff was great and the range was incredible. The first hole has probably one of the greatest tee shots I have ever played. At least a 300 foot drop to the fairway. Conditions from tee to green were awesome on every hole. My only complaint is it took almost 5 and a half hours to play. Waiting on every shot takes some of the fun out of it. Seem to be only one group holding up play for everyone. The Marshall came up to us on the 10th hole and said he talked to the group but it never sped up. Being a casino owned course the foursome probably spends a lot of money gameing lol. That being said this is a must play and worth the drive off the beaten path. We definitely plan to come back.
Yoche Dehe..... Simply Superb
We scored an afternoon deal on golf now.... man was it definitely worth it ... the service was top class, the practice facility was great and the course was simply amazing. The condition of the fairways greens / bunkers was Tour like! The carts were extremely comfortable and the GPS was helpful for first timers with a number of holes containingly blind spots. On course amenities were great including refrigerators located near some tee boxes with cold water. A poor shot was quickly forgotten after soaking up the scenery, this setting is magical. The staff at this course do their very best to ensure you have a great day. Keep up the good work guys, I'm looking forward to my return trip already!
Hello!

Forgot to ask...
I forgot to ask about tournaments and found out at the last minute that there was a fundraising shotgun start going off just ahead of us. There were non golfers at many of the tees from local companies specifically there to display their brands. It was distracting at times because the non golfers didn't know to keep silent when somebody is teeing off.
I had heard that the food at this course was good but the pre-made Tuna sandwich I had before we teed off was soggy, tasteless and there was some grit in the lettuce. I tried one of the Veggie wraps at the turn and found it to be below average. It had been frozen so the lettuce was soggy and wilted and not completely thawed out. It was hard to enjoy eating ice crystals.
The pace of play was a tad slow and I found the greens to be a bit substandard for this course.
This was not my most enjoyable round at Yocha Dehe and I hope that the next is better. I will remember to ask about tournaments next time.
Hello,
Thank you for your review and we are sorry to see you had a sub-par experience with us. We have forwarded your review to our food and beverage team to take a look at your feedback on the tuna sandwich and veggie wrap. Hopefully we can make it better so thank you.
Thanks again for the review and we will strive to meet your expectations next time.

Mr Collier,
I’m sorry you had an unacceptable experience with us. We do our very best to create an experience that is second to none. With that, I would like to address the golf course conditions that were not to your expectation.
We are currently in the process of eradicating unwanted grasses in our fairways and approaches. (Poa trivialis and Poa annua). I believe these dead spots are the areas that you are referencing. (Holes 1-5 approaches and holes 9,12,14 fairways).
We do a few things to inform guests when they arrive to help golfers understand what we are undertaking. One, we have a sign located at the counter when checking in that notifies guest of the project. Second, if golfers happen to not read it, our starter at hole 1 tee box informs our guests. If both of these were missed or not communicated to you on our end, I apologize. We have little to no complaints about the project. In addition, we inform guests that if they happen to hit in any of the above mentioned areas where the grass is unacceptable, golfers get a free lateral drop. If we are trying to keep high level conditions on the golf course there will almost always be some sort of small renovation project happening.
By eradicating Poa trivialis and Poa annua, we will be able to have turf that can handle drought and heat situations better. I hope you understand.
Lastly, you mentioned the greens were horrific. I agree with you somewhat. Horrific is a pretty strong word to use. Were the greens below poor? Yes, and I will own that. My apologizes. Back in late June when we were 108-112 degrees for 8+ days and we scalped some areas on the greens creating unacceptable conditions, especially on the perimeters. I want you to know that I am extremely upset that I let that happen under my watch and we are doing our very best to correct it. If you happen to come out this coming week I feel that you will see that the greens are back to playing at a high level.
I hope you understand where we are coming from. We do make mistakes and we will always do our very best to create an exceptional experience for our customers. Hope you give us another chance…
Regards,
Kyle Jones
