Loved it!

I often go to Alnmouth for a weekend away with the misses and always eyed up the village course - it didn’t disappoint! Really fun holes, ground was in tremendous condition, other golfers were really sound, the club house had friendly staff and a good pint after. 10/10

Friendly welcome greens were fantastic. Lovely scenery.

Friendly welcome greens were fantastic. Lovely scenery. Love links golf , it’s pure links with not many hazards, but lots of undulating fairways & approaches. Lovely bacon & egg sarnie. Pity that the bar was closed 4pm, on return, but I suppose it’s the time of year & not much trade.

Another game on the Links

The course was in excellent condition with some temporary tees. The greens were excellent, although had to repair quite a few pitch marks left by other players.

Always love playing this course, if you get chance I urge you to play it. Pace of play was a bit slow on first 9, we teed off at midday, but back 9 was quiet.

Dog walkers punish my slice

He was a big dog. He has a huge appetite. His legacy is placed in the semi and rough along the first two holes. He is a regular visitor and he is regular....His walker is a local and I predict he has a beef with the club. His dog may be a beef eater but analalazis will confirm. His product is available on the course well away from the public walk way.. I have moved my right hand anti clockwise on my shift and come quickly on the draw, so hopefully I am in the clear...A Marshall with a long lens could put an end to this matter

Timed the weather to perfection

The course was perfect the waves were up and the weather held up.

Some enforcement of the dog poop law is required along the first 3 holed.

The greens were fantastic... We booked as a pair but got bonus partners... this was a nuisance... not that they were to blame.

Alnmouth village

Great little course in a fantastic location. It is short but a tight challenge. Played 18 from same tees. Would benefit from different tees for each 9. Can imagine play being slow when busy, on the day it was fine. Course was in great condition considering the weather we’ve had particularly the greens. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back myself.

Hidden Gem

Played mid October and the course was in amazing condition, some fantastic holes with brilliant views. Only one par 3, but some great par 4s, some split fairways make the fairways open, but some great risk reward par 4s if you take the tight line. Great food in the clubhouse with friendly staff. Must play course if in the area and fantastic value at £15 for 9 holes.

Absolute gem

Wonderful club with friendly members and staff, food and drinks in clubhouse excellent. The course in excellent condition, with unbelievable views of the beach and sea. The course layout shows you what original links courses looked like, great fun and challenging to play. Favourite hole 7th with inviting drive from top of escarpment, with challenging second to upturned saucer green, par is a good score. First time I’ve played the course but certainly not the last.

The Oldest 9 Hole Links Course in England

A fabulous, classic links course with stunning views. At the price, it makes a nonsense of overrated, expensive golf elsewhere!

Enchanting must play Course.

First time visit for myself and my great Pro golfer friend. The moment I got out of the car I was overwhelmed by the view of thus links golf course. The welcome we received by the clubhouse staff was superb. Our pre match sausage butty was delicious. So onto the course we go beautiful sunny day with very strong winds. Despite not being ridiculously long holes, hitting nto the wind was quite tough. Rolling fairways and greens in excellent condition it was a joy and great pleasure to play. We will be back again soon and I'm spreading the word Alnmout Village GC is great value for money and if you haven't played there your missing a Jewel .

A Gem

A great 9 hole course alongside the beach in Almouth. The greens were perfect although the fairways had been slightly burnt by the sun. Loved the 6th up the hill and the 7th tiered tee with great views. I'd booked in for 9 holes but wished I'd booked 18.
