The Oldest 9 Hole Links Course in England
A fabulous, classic links course with stunning views. At the price, it makes a nonsense of overrated, expensive golf elsewhere!
Enchanting must play Course.
First time visit for myself and my great Pro golfer friend. The moment I got out of the car I was overwhelmed by the view of thus links golf course. The welcome we received by the clubhouse staff was superb. Our pre match sausage butty was delicious. So onto the course we go beautiful sunny day with very strong winds. Despite not being ridiculously long holes, hitting nto the wind was quite tough. Rolling fairways and greens in excellent condition it was a joy and great pleasure to play. We will be back again soon and I'm spreading the word Alnmout Village GC is great value for money and if you haven't played there your missing a Jewel .
Would recommend
Brilliant course great greens and nice food n beer
Alnmouth by the sea
Lovely little course, keep it straight or lose your ball, 7th is a cracking hole, enjoyed it, good weather helps, great views.
A Gem
A great 9 hole course alongside the beach in Almouth. The greens were perfect although the fairways had been slightly burnt by the sun. Loved the 6th up the hill and the 7th tiered tee with great views. I'd booked in for 9 holes but wished I'd booked 18.
Great little 9 hole course, tight layout and cannot fault the condition. I'd be scared to play the greens in summer as they were quick enough in March. Outstanding view from the 7th tee. Very helpful and accommodating staff in the clubhouse
Little cracker
Last minute pick on golf now due to our own course shut due to bad weather. Staff very helpful on arrival & corse in excellent condition. Played 18 although front & back 9 exactly the same on the winter card. No problem getting around in good time even though some of the fairways & greens crisscrossed a little. If your in the area don’t discount this 9 hole cracker!
Fantastic location!
Hit on with the weather. The greens were fast, lovely surroundings & the people around and in the club house was great. Would certainly recommend. 5 star from me. Can’t wait to play it again.
Lovely course
Played the course a number of times now. Love the layout and condition was good. Only downside was there were 6 poor winter greens, which were on top of slopes. Assumed they were on because of early morning frost. As we played the 7th, they put full greens on which were in great condition.
As usual we enjoyed it and the lovely views over the coast. I recommend everyone to play the course.
Beautiful links course with stunning views
Although the weather was cold and breezy the course was in excellent condition as ever, especially the greens. We are occasional golfers and live playing here when on holiday in the area
Lovely scenic course
I’ve played here a few times, great little course , greens were like lightning, A few risk reward holes , Always a pleasure to play at AVGC, Staff very friendly and food was spot on, What more could any golfer want ?
Course closed and refund due
The course called us an hour before we were due to set off and informed us the course was closed due to snow. I expected to be credited for the payment we made via GolfNow but nothing is showing on my account yet?
Great little nine-hole course
Great little nine-hole course.
I played Alnmouth Village on Sunday with my brothers because many of the local courses were closed due to the heavy rain. I was pleasantly surprised to find the fairways were dry because the natural drainage is fantastic.
Living only 30 odd miles away I frequently visit Alnmouth as it is such a pretty village. I had sat on the tables next to the first tee on many occasions with my family and dog enjoying a nice drink or a snack from the clubhouse bar. The staff are really welcoming and friendly.
Although the course is short, and not very demanding, I really enjoyed playing there. The views are great and the course was in nice condition, especially considering the rain we have had here recently. The greens however were slow, But all being considered regarding the weather, I don’t think the green staff will have had a chance to cut them for a few days,. I have heard from my many friends who have played there many times, that the greens are usually fast and true.
I would recommend Alnmouth Village golf club to anyone looking for Play something out golfing, especially if the weather is good like it was on Sunday. 😁

As always, a highly enjoyable round at this great little course. Greens in excellent condition.
First links experience
Although Alnmouth Village is only a nine hole course the location is stunning. The quality of the fairways and greens is something to behold.
The sound of the sea waves lapping onto shore is so surreal as you play a game that you love.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first links experience there and I will look forward to playing there many times in the future.
Alnmouth Village
The greens were in fantastic condition. They putt true on speed and direction and credit must go to the Course Manager. Scenery never disappoints and it is always dry under foot. The road which crosses the course can be busy and sometimes slows play down. Good value for money and friendly staff in the clubhouse.
