Lovely challenging course.
We played on a sunny day as a 3 ball with little wind. As it runs along the coast it would be very challenging on a windy day!
The greens were excellent and the course is well maintained. It is a bit tight with golfers getting in each others way and a road running across the course to a beach side car park is a little annoying. Overall though we enjoyed the game.
Whilst the staff were OK, they could not be described as welcoming.
1st links course
Much more enjoyable than we thought it was going to be ! Greens excellent but big and tough to read - well worth a visit - great views from the end of the course
A 90 year olds view
A true links course with good greens.A very accurate tee shot is a must to avoid the heavy rough areas.
The ramp down from the 7th tee is long and steep and difficult for older people with battery trolleys.
Nevertheless we enjoyed this challenging course and our thanks to the helpful staff
Laurie and Margaret Walpole
Perfect location and fantastic greens
Apart from the cross overs on some greens/tees, this is a superb links course. The views are stunning and the greens were true. We really enjoyed this course.
Worth a visit
Glad to have played it once. Fairways were suffering a bit from recent dry weather but the greens were immaculate. Staff and locals and the treasurer, John, all very welcoming.. I would imagine that if only members are playing it would be ok as everybody would know what to do but to me it looked far too dangerous with lots of shared fairways and confusion as to who should play next, a road crossing the middle of the course with motorists and pedestrians oblivious of golfers about to play and a footpath at the side of a fairway where walkers are in serious danger of a not too wayward drive. Spending £30k on a new green to make the 7th a short hole would be a good start to make the course safer.
Golf by the sea
Fun links with some challenging holes. Greens in good condition
Heart attack Hill !!
Lovely course--always good---fairways burnt--greens quick --perfect ---------but the 6th hole up that hill just about killed me- I think i was close to a heart attack---lucky i had my wife with me & calmed me down.
Next time--BUGGY .
I recovered back at the clubhouse with a pint----decided to sell my clubs & stay on the drink---goodbye golf xx
A club with history
A great little course to play greens in excellent conditon pin positions relatively easy today, fairways very very dry, views good particularly from the 7th tee. Clubhouse welcoming and staff very helpful. A good days golf
Great value little gem
Beautifully located 9 hole links course with very welcoming staff in the clubhouse, and a challenging little course with some spectacular views out to sea and over the course. We found this a prefect stop off and resting point on a long journey to Scotland for our golfing break. Lovely food and drink too, to complete a memorable visit! Highly recommended!
Lovely course
Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit would definitely play again
Love this course
Great 9 holer, which you just play twice, great setting, greens excellent, preferred lies but was fine and good fairways, typical links. Course very quiet and some members let us off before them, just for speed of play. Which was appreciated
Great views over the coastline, recommend everyone play this little gem.
Didn’t go into clubhouse, but have done before and it’s very nice. Suppose to be good food, but haven’t tried it.
