Alnmouth Village Golf Club

Beautifully located 9 hole links course with very welcoming staff in the clubhouse, and a challenging little course with some spectacular views out to sea and over the course. We found this a prefect stop off and resting point on a long journey to Scotland for our golfing break. Lovely food and drink too, to complete a memorable visit! Highly recommended!

Great 9 holer, which you just play twice, great setting, greens excellent, preferred lies but was fine and good fairways, typical links. Course very quiet and some members let us off before them, just for speed of play. Which was appreciated

Great views over the coastline, recommend everyone play this little gem.

Didn’t go into clubhouse, but have done before and it’s very nice. Suppose to be good food, but haven’t tried it.

Very friendly staff, great location, right on the most beautiful stretch of coastline.. Brilliant 9 hole golf course with loads of character, in great condition and superb greens. A proper little gem and look forward to playing again soon.

This was my first time playing this course, I got it on a "hot deal" for £12.99 and played it with a friend from Leeds. We were very impressed with the upkeep of the course considering how cheap it was, and the friend I played with said the same course in Leeds would cost £30-40 for a round. There are certainly a few challenging holes which are deceiving but this just added to the course for us. Once you get onto the 5th Hole and beyond you can see some absolutely beautiful views. The club house is the only thing that let it down - it's basically a pavilion, but as far as I'm aware they are currently building a new modernised one further along the course so this will not be an issue soon!

I absolutely love this course. Immaculately kept, with the best views I have seen, right next to a beautiful beach. Some great holes, especially 5 and 6. 1 a tricky one up a big hill, the 6th going back down. The views from the top are brilliant, only downside is walkers everywhere who pay no attention and walk on bits they shouldn’t. But overall so so good. Narrow testing fairways where accuracy is key.

Played the course twice to complete 18 holes and had a great day. I’m a high handicapper and found the course to be a good challenge with quite narrow fairways but a more accurate golfer may not find that! Greens were great, very true pace and some good breaks to try to read. Loved the challenge of the 6th hole and the 7th was wonderful - both the view and the hole. Course was pretty quite as played early so no issues with pace and fellow golfers were friendly. Beautiful location and course was in good condition despite some impacts from rabbits. Enjoyed a toastie and some great chips from the clubhouse afterwards too. Would recommended.

Perfect introduction to links golf. Greens were pristine and the course was enjoyable from start to finish. Only being 9 holes it is congested at points due to going round twice but other than that it was great.

Great little 9 holer. Superb greens. Quite testing as some greens are very difficult to land on and read. Interesting uphill drive on the 6th rewarded by a fantastic tee shot vista from the 7th. After a long dry period the fairways are getting sparse and hard.so care needed with club selection. Played Alnmouth Village a few times now and always happy to return for a round at this quirky course.
