Has to be played

Womderful traditional links course. A good test for all handicaps. Played it in proper links conditions 30mph winds but still smiled on every hole.

Starts gently but once you're round the turn and up the hill wow what a course

Tees excellent fairways really good and the greens were superb

Will be back again hopefully if slightly calmer conditions

Lovely little 9 hole course

Took the opportunity to play this 9 hole course (reputedly the oldest 9 hole links in England) whilst holidaying in the area. Despite having to be patient at times due to other groups and the shared fairways/tee-off priorities, by simply following the instructions and with the help, humour and courtesy of the locals I can happily report that this was an absolute delight. Staff in the clubhouse helpful, course condition excellent, greens/tees well presented, and friendly geordies!

Pace of play

Pace of play was poor due to vast numbers of the public walking across and around the course ( some dog walkers, some just out for a stroll, and a coach party of school children ) ... on the positive side, sea views were good

A little gem.

A wonderful little 9 hole course in a picturesque setting. The greens were exceptional, even in this unusual spell of hot weather. It is a credit to the TWO greens staff.
