Great condition

During the Summer whilst this Course is in it's best condition it's up there with the best courses in the North East of England. I always walk around a golf course, be warned tho, if your not up for a demanding walk then book a buggy. I will return to this course a few times every year.

Good friendly pro shop and a nice clubhouse.

Excellent course

I have played golf courses all over the country and other parts of the world,. Beamish is an absolute gem in a beautiful area. Kept in great condition this is a test for anyone with a couple of pretty unique holes the likes of which you are unlikely to encounter anywhere else.

Sunny Beamish

I invited a family friend to play Beamish and he wasn’t disappointed. He’d nevertheless played here but was impressed with the setting only thing that wasn’t spot on was the greens looked as though they had patches on couldn’t read them to well?

Staff were friendly especially the club house staff .

Beamish park golf club

Excellent course, in fantastic condition for the time of year.

Not overly long, but presents a stern challenge due to the undulations.

Very friendly.

Very disappointed

Once my favourite course to play at around the area for many years but unfortunately now it appears to be on the decline the course was looking very tired despite the fantastic views the greens where far from greens no green in sight and very poor quality as bad as I’ve seen anywhere before inclusive of winter greens. Finally the slow play was torturous as we had a couple of four balls in front who took time wasting to new levels meaning it was a disastrous day wasted playing at this once very good course.

Excellent value for money

Living In Wiltshire, I visit my girlfriend every month and always look for a nice course. There are so many to chose from around the Area but I am extremely glad that I chose this course. It was in excellent condition for the time of year, fairways 10/10, greens were good. Very picturesque with some wonderful holes. Will be coming back and would strongly recommend to first timers. Holes 4 and 16 were particularly impressive.

Lovely course

Surprised we got a tee on a Saturday but made to feel very welcome. Course in as good a condition you will get this time a year. In the summer was even better. Greens brilliant. Fairways brilliant. A little gem of a course. It pains me rating it good because more people will come . Keep up the good work. I’ve had a bad back and thought I was done with golf and life but now I’m BACK! Nobody puts the old dog down.

Beamish Golf Course a must play!

Stayed in New Castle and had one free morning and decided on playing Beamish Golf Club based on the course layout and price. Pro shop lent me clubs (much appreciated) and the staff were so courteous and friendly.

Course was in excellent condition even with the 2 month drought wrecking havoc in the UK. Course layout was smart with lots of elevation changes which brought club selection a premium. Favorite hole was “Ravin” which is incredible and I was on in two and two putted for a smart par.

Cheers to Nick and all the other staff - lunch after the round was lovely too

Blind mans bluff

A well maintained and established parkland course with some interesting holes, nut unfortunately with too many blind holes for our taste.

The course works it’s way round and then up and over rolling hills resulting in some decent elevation changes and lots of blind shots. There are good markers though and fairways are generally generous. Even if you do stray off line the rough under the trees isn’t too severe so it’s difficult to get in lots of trouble. A couple of the par 4s are in excess of 400m and present a good challenge, but there are quite few shorter ones, some of which need a bit of toughening up. Stand out hole is the 15th which drops down to a narrow fairway between the trees.

All in all a nice enough course with just too many blind shots for us. If you’re ok with them you could easily add another star. Worth mentionining the helpful and friendly pro shop staff. Always nice to have a warm welcome.
