Great course
Staff helpful, course awesome. Loads of interesting holes. 3-4 greens a bit ropey but that’s everywhere at the moment. Stuck behind the slowest two ball in history who don’t understand letting people play through. But still a great day. Probably my favourite course in the north east
Great course in County Durham
Super course - well looked after and interesting holes. Particular highlights are the par 3s, especially those around the castle.
Not a course for those who struggle walking up and down hills - unless you get a buggy of course!
Very challenging
Great course with a great layout, some long but challenging par 3’s. Very steep in places and heavy on the legs however i recommend trying this course. Set in beautiful surrounding of the Castle and if you can get the price on a Hot Deal its definitely worth it. .
Always a pleasure
Great course to play always in fantastic condition, testing course which can be challenging. Signature 9th hole is one of the best par 3’s out there. A must if local to the area or visiting surrounding areas.
Great course
What a gem. A really great golf course and a great test for all golfers will definitely be back very friendly staff
Considering the recent bad weather the course has held up pretty well. Some course maintenance work has been carried out and some is still ongoing but does not affect anything too much. For the time of year and VFM well worth playing. Must mention the excellent clubhouse. Great friendly staff and the food and drinks were unbelievably great value.

What a great course great lay out with some stunning holes that will test any golfer.

Best course in north east
First time playing the course, wonderful conditions, beautiful layout, perfect pace of play. Would recommend to anyone and everyone
Slow play spoiled the day
The course was in good condition it has a few memorable holes and I recommend it to all golfers
Great Course
Friendly staff and good clubhouse. The course itself is very testing so dont expect to play to handicap first time round. Great individual holes with lots of interesting obsticles to get around, would love to play again.
Well worth a visit
Really enjoyed our round here, very lucky with the weather. The course is challenging with some very interesting par 3's. If you are in this area, I would definitely suggest playing here.
Baffled by course maintenance
Pace was fairly average however as a single ball I walked off after 9 holes, kept getting distracted by grounds staff cutting across fairways and on greens I was just playing up to. On the 8th I was 3ft off the green waiting to chip on and the grass cutter decided to cut the green that I was about to play onto, even removing the flag to cut that area and sat revving the grass cutter when I eventually got to play my shot. Very disappointed
