Hills

Good course to play enjoyable, hard to know where to go as on course signs not the best, and unfortunately the club shop didn't have anything to help you, pro friendly. May play again as a few holes would like to play again to do better

Plenty of water needed as it is a hillside walk

Amazing Course to play in Winter

This course is a real treat to play. It rarely closes in winter which is why I was there. Other in the area limited play. This course has ravines, which make it intimidating but satisfying when you succeed. Greens were a delight for winter. Good value. It had rained a bit but the course was very playable.

The jewel of County Durham

Me and my friend play brancepeth regularly and absolutely love it every single time! It just has a special feel to the course and every hole unique in its own way! Talk about value for money 15 quid a round and it's the best course around County Durham by a country mile and that's coming from someone who has play at least 20 different courses in the region this year alone including highly rated clubs like rockckiffe, ramside, seaton Carew and Cleveland. The greens are so good..very quick and you never seem to have a straight forward putt which is definitely a good thing in my opinion makes for a strong test! Every single part including tee boxes and fairways are always in great condition. We have played here i would say maybe 15 times this year and hopefully try and get in another couple before winter. I would join tomorrow if the membership fees weren't so high that would be literally the only negative point I make! Outstanding

Fantastic course

A great course with lots of variety. Super greens. Seemed like 5 par 3s. Four of those par 3s were pretty intimidating and the other was over 200 yards to the centre of the green so no pushover. Some of the par 4s had deep valleys too and on or two blind shots to fairways. Well worth a visit. the club house was a great place too with friendly staff and good service. Should have taken my snooker cue along also. Pro shop was well stocked and friendly, thanks Richie. Will definitely go back.
