Garesfield Golf Club

First time playing this course after a recommendation from a friend . Friendly staff and member . Course in lovely condition, specially the greens and a very challenging layout with some really well thought out holes. Cost very reasonable and another visit a definite.

Great condition. Course quiet so a three hour round. Hilly though in parts so take a breath before going up 13th. Will return

Course was in nice condition overall. Relatively narrow, tight mown, fairways and slow greens (well watered) on the day. Generally a right to left course. Plenty of ups and downs so some course knowledge helps. Take a trolley!

Lovely day out spoiled by slow play. It’s quite a short course and as a 2 ball I’d have expected 3.5 hours or so. However we were behind a seniors tournament of maybe 4 or so 4 balls and it was painful. All in all we were on the course just short of 5 hours.

Made worse by a Green keeper who insisted on preparing a Green on. A par 3 while we stood Green side waiting to play our second shots. This took him about 10 minutes.

It’s a shame because the course was lovely and the staff in the club house were first class.

Arrived at 7:30 tee off 8:10 no staff about club shop was closed so can’t really give review on that . Enjoyed the course . A bit hilly for me and greens weren’t very big like I’m used to at my local course and not as fast ,but really quite challenging without being too long . Love to play there again so I can play some holes a bit differently. Doesn’t require driver of every long hole but overall a pretty well kept course

Excellent course condition.

A good challenge both in terms of difficulty and on the legs as it was hilly in places so if you struggle with mobility id recommend a cart.

All in all a very pleasant round of golf.

Course was great, staff were friendly And facilities were second to non! Will definitely look at playing this course again.

Great course, fantastic conditions, played 4 different courses in the same 10 days and this was by far in the best state. Considering it was only the 3rd dry day following terrible weather. 👌🏽

Was quite windy,which you have to try manage,greens dissapointingly in poor condition,although it looks like they just been hollow tined.Poor front 9 score better back 9.Reasonable value for 12 quid.

Great and challenging Course but course conditions due to previous weather disappointing greens were damp and soft under foot and some holes had water in

Think Garesfield is a brilliant and challenging course but the course conditions on the day let it down very very wet in places and majority of great were soft/ damp under feet and few holes had water in

Lovely course in great condition given the time of year

Played here due to my own course being closed for recent rain.

Although a little squishy in places, overall the course was decent and at least fully open.

I enjoy playing here as it has some different and challenging holes and some fantastic scenery.

For the time of year and the the amount of rain we had in the past week the course has held you pretty well.

Enjoyable round even if the golf played was not great.

I very hilly course so bring you walking boots

I was asked if it was my first time by the local pro who was happy to show me where everything was & give a few tips

Good conditions for February, really enjoyed the challenge

Only 16 holes open understandable due to frost. Lovely lay out some great holes. Wil love returning in the summer. Shame about golf now emailing me to say I had £25 discount voucher, but when inserting code wouldn’t accept it.
