Very surprised how good this course is. Lots of blind shots with all the undulations. Quite a few hidden hazards if you've never played before. But an absolute gem of a course. The greens were slower than expected but in immaculate condition. Can't wait for my next round there with friends.

Course was very busy but Pro let us go off hole 6 which proved to be a great decision - we watched when leaving carpark the group which was booked in front of us on hole 13 - this was after we played all 18 holes, had a pint and a sausage sandwich! Booked as my local course was closed due to the wind damage so pleasantly surprised that apart from a bit of debris across the course Garesfield played pretty well. 8 winter greens in play and could have easily reduced this to 4-5 in the conditions but overall a really enjoyable course for a practice round. Scenery is great, slopes make for a decent test and most holes reward accuracy. Played exactly to my handicap of 27 and will be back in the summer.

Unhappy at only 1 green opem

Considering the amount of rain over the last few weeks the grounds staff had it great,but as i walked hole to hole only to find the greens off and a hole just put anywhere,very dissappointed that there was no staff about or notices of this.i know that greens need working on but i checked em all as walking hole to hole and they were in great nick and could've been used,the only green on was the par 3 10th to which i teased a 7 wood to 2 feet,i dont wanna seem too bitter as i love this course and £8 is not alot for a practice
