Garesfield Golf Club

This was such a pretty woodland course with some very picturesque holes..a delight to play..and I got a hot deal for 9 quid...

Booked as my local course was closed due to the wind damage so pleasantly surprised that apart from a bit of debris across the course Garesfield played pretty well. 8 winter greens in play and could have easily reduced this to 4-5 in the conditions but overall a really enjoyable course for a practice round. Scenery is great, slopes make for a decent test and most holes reward accuracy. Played exactly to my handicap of 27 and will be back in the summer.

2nd visit to Garesfield, joined a 2 ball on the 8th and continued round with them (Derek and Frank) absolutely gentlemen both members made the day.

Considering the amount of rain over the last few weeks the grounds staff had it great,but as i walked hole to hole only to find the greens off and a hole just put anywhere,very dissappointed that there was no staff about or notices of this.i know that greens need working on but i checked em all as walking hole to hole and they were in great nick and could've been used,the only green on was the par 3 10th to which i teased a 7 wood to 2 feet,i dont wanna seem too bitter as i love this course and £8 is not alot for a practice

Really enjoyed playing here. Greens were in great condition, especially for winter. Staff were really welcoming. Interesting course, found it quite challenging (in a good way). Looking forward to playing again soon here.

What a brilliant course, still using some winter greens but still a great round can't wait to play it in the summer.

Met 4/5 groups, all current members, all let us play through but we're really friendly, happy to chat and point us in the right direction.

Very undulating with some steep holes but haven't been put off by this

Played today and thought the course was in great condition. Greens immaculate and great pace of play with no waiting around.

Will definitely return in the future.

Both my son and myself decided to play a course we hadn’t played before but within a hour drive. We weren’t disappointed with Garesfield and the course was very quiet and the greens and fairways were in great shape.

We will definitely play again but hire a club cart as in areas it’s demanding even with a Powakaddy.

Highly recommended and friendly pro shop.

Greens where in great condition. Lovely varied course with great views.

Can't blame the club for the weather. But can praise the club for the course condutiin to deal with the rain. Grounds keepers squeegee the greens, which we at a nice pace I do say.

Great up and down course with some nice holes. I'd be back sometime soon when the sun is beating down.

Extremely happy with the course which was beautifully maintained and the greens were super.

Firstly I would go back here but would pick 100s of courses over it.

Fist impressions weren’t great arrived early to look in the shop and then warm up, got a cold welcoming in the shop think I got 2 words and a grunt! The course was quiet so pace of play was fine until we caught up to 2 groups in buggy’s and they slowed us right down on the last 4 holes.

The greens were Sandy, bumpy and slow. The fairways were soft and badly drained in areas, however we did enjoy our game, the course layout is great and is a real test of fitness with its inclines.

Probably more enjoyable on a better day. Fair course
