Garesfield Golf Club

Firstly I would go back here but would pick 100s of courses over it.

Fist impressions weren’t great arrived early to look in the shop and then warm up, got a cold welcoming in the shop think I got 2 words and a grunt! The course was quiet so pace of play was fine until we caught up to 2 groups in buggy’s and they slowed us right down on the last 4 holes.

The greens were Sandy, bumpy and slow. The fairways were soft and badly drained in areas, however we did enjoy our game, the course layout is great and is a real test of fitness with its inclines.

Probably more enjoyable on a better day. Fair course

I really enjoyed playing this course for the first time. The weather could not have been better, sunny and calm. Fantastic views from all parts of the course. Some very interesting holes and a good test of golf even on a calm day. Course was in good condition and members and staff were all very welcoming. A thoroughly enjoyable day.

3 ball in great weather with few others on the course.

Tree lined fairways with many undulating holes and fine views.

Staff and off course facilities as good as the course.

Would definitely play again.

Fabulous looking course unfortunately the greens were very very slow would recommend for the layout and views of the course but greens need to be cut a lot more than they are at the moment

Course in great nick, greens best I’ve played this year

Played today, course was busy but to be expected after months of no golf !!!

Course in fantastic condition the greens best in North East, hidden gem, will certainly return.

Course played beautiful today, some lovely holes and all very different from each other. Some excellent views across the valley especially in the sunshine.

Group of people very loud on putting green when trying to tee off the 5th but this can happen anywhere.

Very nice course in a excellent condition, a little bit hilly with a few greens which cant be seen easily. very good value for money and friendly staff.

It's been about 5 years since I played garesfield. It just keeps getting better and better.

The greens are fantastic and the manicure of the rest of the coarse is great.

Members spoke to use as soon as we pulled up always was a very friendly club.

Just a shame we could not use the 19th not even outside.

Don't miss out on this coarse but remember be fit or hire a buggy you will need it .

Really enjoyed my first ever round at Garesfield.

Each hole offers a different challenge. Loved the 5th wasn’t keen on the 18th. All the rest were decent. Greens were in great condition for the time of year.

Fairly windy on a pleasant day due to being high up.

It was extremely slow but on second day they were re open so to be expected.
