Good condition
The course is in good condition. They have done a lot to keep the fairways nice and the greens rolling true. Way better than years past.
has creek come into play on many holes so you need to be accurate of the tee.
Course generally in good shape. Dry spots that make for a difficult lye.
Beautiful Setting
I have played this course a few times and everyone is super friendly but yesterday we had unusual waiting times and our first tee was delayed by almost 30 minutes.
Love the course though and wish they had opened up the 10th hole to start...

Fun track
Pays to be straight as many fairways are tree lined. A relatively short course at about 5600 yards. Beautiful setting and course in good shape except a few areas where they may have broken water pipes.
Staff friendly and we played in under 4 hrs.

FINALLY in Good Shape
I've played a few times a year here for the past three years and the course is presently in the best shape I've ever seen it. Greens are finally normal instead of slow and bumpy. Around the greens it's still a little muddy in the rough, though. They've laid down brand new grass in all the fairways so they're no longer rock-hard, though we'll see how they fair in the summer months. Bunkers looked ok (I miraculously never had to play out of one!) but tee boxes are still a little hacked up. I played here Wednesday for $15 and enjoyed it so much, I came back Thursday for $24. It was a shame in the past because I live five minutes away but would always rather play Tri-Valley courses or courses closer to the Bay than Redwood Canyon. There's still some work to be done here, but it's now playable for single-digit handicappers as well as casual weekend players.
Great Value Golf
The new management is really working hard to make Redwood Canyon a playable golf course . In my opinion they have done that. It was a very fast round a little over 4 hours and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Punching greens back 9 and closed upsetting
Very disturbing and frustrating when we arrived to find out that the back nine was closed for maintenance and punching greens.Nothing was posted when booked.Can’t blame staff or course ,but upsetting when arrived..On a good note,Greens are awesome.
Scenic course to play
This course is a great value but unfortunately I didn't know that the back nine was closed for aeration. If I had that information available to me, I would not have chosen to play there yesterday, 03/19!
REDWOOD CANYON
HAD A VERY NICE TIME. HAD TO WAIT FOR A CART BUT GOT ONE IN PLENTY OF TIME TO START. CASEY (?) AT THE DESK WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. THE WEATHER WAS SPOT ON AND THE CART WAS FINE. SOME OF THE GREENS HAD THE FUNGUS, BUT NOT BAD OVERALL. SOMEONE NEEDS TO SHOW THE GREENSKEEPER HOW TO SET THE CUPS BETTER. THEY ARE TOO HIGH AND NEED TO BE SET DEEPER.
Geting better
The new management group is doing wonders slowly.
Gonna play there often to support their effort.
Very friendly staff.
