Golfer Reviews
A Morning at Redwood Canyon
3 hour, 45 minute round; great weather. Greens were in very good shape, but the fairways need some improvement and were over watered in some places. A great course to walk. Definitely will be going back.
Don’t bother
Wow this place was terrible!!! Haven’t played here for a while and was told they have been improving the course ha ha! Yea that’s what places will say to lure you in. Maybe they have worked on the clubhouse or restaurant but, the course was in very bad shape. This place is a DIRT BOWL!!! no way was it worth $50. I would say maybe $30.
Fairways are dirt you could hit in the middle and then have to move your ball 10-20 yards to find grass. Broken water pipes all over. Never again
Local and Low Cost
I came out here to play this for us with a friend from San Francisco. The course had a great deal on the race but that is where the value ended. There are no amenities, my rental clubs had trash in the golf bag and the practice range ran out of balls. It took very long for us to check in for our teatime as the gentleman had a hard time working with computer. There were sevenral other customers backed up behind us and I could hear how frustrated they were. The course is pretty, but definitely has issues with flooding
Don't Fade
Good course for "target golf". Faders will have to control their shot on all holes as the creek is in play on all 18 holes. Currently (Sept) they are doing lots of ground work in preparation for next year's rainfall. This course is regularly flooded during heavy rains and is upplayable. Still, a good course to practice iron accuracy.
Much Improved
I had stopped playing this course in 2017 because it was terrible. The last time I played two holes were closed off because they were flooded and they were watering the course. I got a refund and left. Went back today because a friend wanted to play the course. I was amazed at how nice the course was. Greens were so much improved I was amazed. For the price it is a good deal. I will be going back.
Course in poor shape,
With all the potential to be a good course the course conditions are very poor Tee areas are missing Grass as are the fairways areas of waterlogged patches in bare soil near dreams makes this a poor golf experience . It is a shame that a course with potential such as this is kept in such poor condition .
Played Often
I play the course regularly and if I don't lose a ball it's a great round. Course in replete with hazards which means target shots. Early morning is very serene with lots of wildlife. Overall a good & fair priced golf experience. Don't expect anything else.../
Nice course with fair price
It was my first time to play, the course fairway condition is normal, play little slow, green condition is good, I will comeback for few holes which made bogey. Overall is nice course with lots trees, trying to avoid landing your ball behind it.
Fairly flat course but makes good use of the creeks
The course has only a little elevation changes but has a creek that flows along side a lot of the holes especially on the front 9. Creek is on the right side and some of the fairways are narrow so if you slice your ball you may be in the creek and taking a drop. This makes the course challenging and fun to play. Only one road in the area so there is little to no noise except for the ones that nature provides.
Not Holding Up Well
I played here a couple times a month or two ago when it was in much better shape but now the course is very dry and bumpy. The cart paths are super dusty and gets your shoes and bag dirty. The old dude who works in the proshop, Jason, gets offended when you book your round on GolfNow like you're taking business away from the course. He was pretty sulky to me.
Great round
A short course but challenging. The pace of play was great, wildlife all around.
Good condition
The course is in good condition. They have done a lot to keep the fairways nice and the greens rolling true. Way better than years past.
has creek come into play on many holes so you need to be accurate of the tee.
Course generally in good shape. Dry spots that make for a difficult lye.
Beautiful Setting
I have played this course a few times and everyone is super friendly but yesterday we had unusual waiting times and our first tee was delayed by almost 30 minutes.
Love the course though and wish they had opened up the 10th hole to start...
