Dubsdread Golf Course
About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Dubsdread 2/08/2024
Pace of play was very good, we (3some) waited a few times but finished in 3+45. Some say course is short, but not really. Only 2 Par 5, but 3 or 4 Par 4's at 400 yards. The Blue tees are 5800 but would be 6000 with 4 Par 5's. Conditions were good for a Florida public course and definitely for $50 greens fees + a warmup bucket included (about 8-10 balls). Course is in better condition than last time I played (2 yrs ago). I will play again.
Great course
Great condition has water and sand but no pot difficult
Enjoyable Round
We had a very enjoyable round at Dubsdred. Great layout - The course is tight with lots of water hazards but a pleasure to play. The pace of play was excellent - finished 3.5 hours. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful, especially starter Steve. The greens are in great shape, fast and predictable. The fairways are well maintained in excellent shape. The tee boxes are nice and flat and well maintained. There is GPS in each cart to help your course management. Overall, we found this course to be of top quality and very enjoyable. It offer excellent value for money on GN hot deal. We will certainly play it again!
Ady Dutton
Nice course In great condition! Tight front 9 & more open back! Played off tips with light winds! Greens were running at about 10, so nice to play on!
Great day
Nice weather, great course, fun to play. Course in great shape and pace of play was good.
Course for value
Everything great with this course for value. The pace of play was only thing I could recommend to improve on this old course. Course is short but very challenging with narrow fairways and fast greens
Moe
I would recommend this course to everyone the staff was excellent the restaurant super
While the course is not very tough it was in great shape
Best value around Orlando
Early tee times at Dubsdread are hard to get. Someone must have cancelled and I booked the minute I saw the available tee time. Rate included range balls and Herman in the pro shop gave us the senior rate because we were over 55 years old. Conditions at Dubsdread are always very good (especially the greens). The greens are a good speed, hold shots, and roll true. Fun track at a great price. The restaurant (Tap Room) has great food too.
Great tricky Muni that will challenge the bombers
If you are a bomber and think your big driver matters, come here and have test. Shorter but still have some long par 4s, very narrow, twisty, placement golf for sure in a classic urban muni with great staff, range area and food. Good course, I need to come back and figure it out.
Good coursr
Classic old school layout. Plenty of challenges. Take care at road crossings. Fast greens, plenty of water.
Will play again.
Older course in good shape fun to play
This course is not very long but it is fun to play, they do a good job to maintain it. It was a little dry and windy made it more challenging, if you can pick your spots you will be rewarded.
Worth the drive, put it on your list.
Dubsdread is Awesome
First off, pro shop & starter just great, very pleasant & professional. I got teamed up to play with 2some & another Hit Deals single, great guys & we all enjoyed our round, plus kept good pace. Course in great condition, tee to green, which are in fine shape. Fairways are fine, even sand bunkers are well-kept. GPS in carts help greatly, as I was only one to have played here before. This course is good length for us old guys, and par 70 also helps with scoring. It's hard to believe this nice course is in the middle of downtown, right off I4. It is tight, with trees, water & sand traps, but really fun to play. Many greens are plateu'd & some tricky pin positions, but be firm & committed to the shorter putts. Thanx to GN for the midday Hot Deals, I sure appreciated the discount. I'll be back, just to eradicate missed Birdie putt #12.
Great Set Up
Even while being in a neighborhood and next to a highway the course feels open and has a wonderful layout
