Dubsdread Golf Course
About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Best Value in Orlando so far
The course surpassed my expectations. One of the guys at the counter when I checked in said it was the best muni course in the country and he is not far from the truth. Staff is super friendly and lunch at the adjacent restaurant was great. The course was in great condition and greens were fast with plenty of water to keep it challenging. It's a fairly short course (around 6,000 yards) with tight fairways in some holes. Price is very reasonable. Will definitely make it one of my frequent plays.
Always a favorite...
When playing in the Orlando area, Dubsdread is always a favorite. A challenging muni, the staff is great and there is a really nice pro shop. You can always walk and that's a key for me. This was the third Orlando course I played this week and the greens were the best of the three.
Lovely mature course close to the CBD
We enjoyed the friendliest of greetings in the pro shop when we checked in.
It’s a compact and relatively short course but quite tricky. It’s surrounded by lovely houses so the setting is lovely.
The course was in excellent condition and represented excellent VFM.
We ate in the restaurant afterwards…it was really good with an interesting and varied menu.
Great value
Most enjoyable golf day, gps on carts was very helpful, very reasonable club rentals
Happy to see Dubsdread has improved
My husband & I haven't played Dubsdread in almost 3 years, having permanently moved to a Florida golf course community 2 1/2 years ago. We were very happy to see that the overall course has improved significantly since we last played it (when we felt it needed some work). The yardage is short but mostly because it's a par 70, with just two par fives. It's definitely a "target" course as it's generally narrow with trouble lurking. The greens are in great shape - challenging puts it mildly with the quick speed and tons of undulations on all greens. Staff couldn't have been more friendly, and we definitely plan on playing Dubsdread again for a little change from our home course.
Duffer Dreads when you need to carry the water
Challenging course, tight in places, lots of water and sand to avoid, good condition. fun
Use to play as a kid
It’s much better now then when I was a kid love the renovations and course in great shape and fun to play
Nice course just not very challenging.
Enjoyed my round here. Course was in good shape for the most part. A few tee boxes had some rough patches but reat of course was in great shape. Staff was nice. Course was a little basic. Not many areas to get in trouble. Pretty straightforward easy beginner course.
Fast greens and lots of water hazards
Lot of fun to play and challenging course. Fairways are in great condition. Could have used more than 15 practice balls for warm up. Very courteous and helpful staff especially the marshal and starter.
