Dubsdread Golf Course
About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Pace of Play
Pace of play was a little slow. Overall had a great time but having a fivesome that wouldn’t let anyone pass them was a little out of hand . Still would definitely go back.
Good deal and great challenge
Back again since last winter
Never been disappointed.
Slow Pace of Play
The pace of play was terrible. We had to call the course during the round to get a Marshall to see what was causing the problem. There are so many other courses with better value and fast pace of play.
Great course
The first time that I played Dubsdread was in 1973 and the course has been updated since then. I really enjoyed the course and being able to play there again. I would strongly suggest that you book dinner at the Tap Room after playing. Great service and great food. A little known gem in Orlando.
Great overall
I showed up to play on Sunday but had accidentally booked my tee time for Monday. The staff was very friendly and was able to squeeze me and my friends in. The course was very nice and challenging and me and my friends has an awesome day!
Nice little Muni
Dubsdread reminds you of a typical municiple course. Lots of 300yd ish par 4's that you can either go after with driver/wedge or work on your iron game. plenty of hazards to make you think, and keep you honest. Course was in great shape and everyone was very friendly! Pace of play was a bit of an accordion, kind of stop & start depending on the groups in front of you. The short par 4's limit you from hitting while people are in the fairway or even on the greens.
Getting better everyday
Mayfair has always been a fun historical layout, but the work they are doing is paying off. Green we’re the best I’ve seen them and no bare spots. There are some standing water issues, but that’s expected after two hurricanes. The only complaint was the lack of a Ranger on a weekend. Groups playing at more than 30 min per hole pace slow everyone down, especially when they won’t let you play through. If they had a Ranger it would be 5 stars.
Enjoy this place so much!
Great course. Short and par 70 but don’t be fooled as it is a challenging course. Great greens, plush fairways, and good tee boxes. There are hazards in the right place to cause penalties. Super staff and they have a beverage cart with personable cart girls. . You can walk this course. You will live it then hit the local restaurant for great food and an adult beverage.
Outstanding course with an amazing restaurant!
I just moved downtown, and I wanted to play a quick round on my birthday. Golf course was in great condition and challenging. It was only bad that on hole 10 they had to shorten it because the driving range net blew down from Tropical Storm Nicole. Afterwards we went to eat at the restaurant, and I had the most delicious tuna tartare tacos ever! Great b-day experience!
Always in great condition!
Other than the driving range being closed due to hurricane repair and the 10th hole converted to a par 3 for same reason, the course was in great condition.
The greens are probably some of the best and fastest in the area right now.
Shotgun Tourney
This course should never have been open to the public that day after noon. They had some Tourney booked and after one hour of being on the course, I still never stepped on the 3rd hole Tee Box. They were fantastic about giving a full refund but should never have had to deal with the situation in the first place. Not to mention, was told most of the people in this group never played golf. Come on people…. That’s what Too Golf was invented for. 🤷🏻♂️
