About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Always a pleasure
Although this course almost always kicks my butt, i still enjoy playing it. Some holes are fairly easy. Some are very tough. Dubsdread is true test of golf.
A week after hurricane Ian and the course was in great shape. Some saturated areas, but overall... very good. The smallish greens, while not the fastest, run true.
Great location
Location is what keeps this place going, teeboxes and fairways are in good shape, greens could be and have been a lot better. Pace is always an issue and if there are cart restrictions be prepared for a 4+ hour round
Good to go
Great value $26 for 18!with a cart with GPS. Overall a bit soupy from recent rain. Cart path only on several holes - not unexpected. Lift clean and place.
Awesome Course
The best course in the city limits of Orlando. Layout is great, a more lynx style over park course style. I've played it many time and I've never seen it in bad shape. Like any course they sometimes punch the greens so ask ahead about the green conditions.
Overcrowded
Showed up to a 6:20 tee time and a guy asks us if he can play ahead we say yes because he looks like it’s just him. Turns out we’re right in between a 8 man scramble. We decide to start back 9 instead got asked to play through by 4 people, guy in front of us was alone but hitting 3 balls a hole having his girlfriend video. They let too many people on the course. They were running a clinic/camp on both the range and chip/put area so I couldn’t warm up. Paid for 18 only got to play 9 before it got dark.
Cart path only
The course was wet and we had to play cart path only. I get it, but it slowed the pace of play so much that we only played 9 holes
Fast greens
Awesome course conditions. Very fast greens but very nice.
Same old dubs
If the superintendent would put more effort into restoring the tee boxes. This would be more than an average course. Good greens and fairways. But tee boxes always are well below average. Leveling and re-sodding are in desperate need. I understand this municipal gets a lot of play but better maintenance could be and should be done. If I was the super, this would be my first priority
Tight fairways but excellent shape
This course has narrow fairways and on some holes the rough is narrow too. Greens, tees & fairways excellent shape. 2nd time playing and the staff is always helpful. This is a regular stop for my wife and I.
Target golf
Snagged a hot deal for $20 and it was the right price. Tees and fairways were good. Rough was nice and thick. The greens however had not recovered yet from aerification and were quite slow and a little bumpy. I would play again as the layout is wonderful and a good challenge. 4/5 stars due to the greens.
