About
Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

Too slow.
Teed off at 12:10. After first 9, it was obvious we weren’t going to finish. Marshall claimed there was nothing he could do to speed up the slow 4some 2 holes ahead of us.
Wouldn’t do his job.
Amazing Greens
Great value for the money. Pace of play was impacted by cart path only due to heavy rains previous days. Challenging course, friendly and accommodating staff, AMAZING greens ! Will play again for sure.
Always in good condition
Great overall golf course that’s always in good condition. Pace of play was good. We really appreciated how many times the beverage cart came by during our round so we always had fresh cold drinks. Will be coming back soon
Best in the area
Fast greens, carpet like fairways, lush rough, professional staff and clean amenities, well worth the extra cost

Nice course
Beautiful course. It’s a challenging course which I liked. Club house is in need of upgrades. It’s a small driving range and could use an upgrade. When I went the course was wet due to rain so the the greens were a bit slow and some fairways were muddy. I did enjoy the course
Good Round at Rancho Solano
Although the greens were punched, it was a good round (no 3 putts!). The weather was great, & the course wide open. A good day to play Rancho Solano.
Local Who Expects More
Pace so slow with no support from staff. Walked off. Unacceptable pace. 2 hole gap.
Not an ideal round
Tee time was at 2:50. Joined up with another single. Pace was super slow due to playing behind large groups of HS Girls tourney that was in front of us. It was super slow so we ended playing the front 9 twice to try and get in 18 holes before the carts had to be turned back in. Of note - upon check-in: there was a notice at the desk that carts had to be returned by 6:46pm. While out on the course: course Marshall told us that carts had to be turned in at 6:30pm……so we missed out playing one maybe 2 more holes.
A very nice golf course in Solano County
I love playing this course. If the weather is good, I would like to play this course again because it is pretty much challenging. The location is very close to my home.

Simply beautiful !,! Can’t say enough good about it !
Course condition
Maintenance is great, greens in great condition, now if only we can have everyone to fix their divots because if they can get on the green they can fix their own divots.
I average fixing 2-3 others divots.
Our t-time was 12:53 and it was 85 degrees. Fortunately there was a nice breeze all day. We missed having the drink cart come by as we remembered past visits to this course.
