Nice course
This was my first time to play Trident Lakes. The course was nice and the weather grand. The greens were hard but rolled well. It was hard to hold the greens if your angle was too low.
The only drawback to my round was the 1:20 minute drive from near Savannah. The rate made it worth the drive and if I was local I would play Trident Lakes more often.
A pleasant place to play
Had pl aged here last November and feel that the course is in better condition this year. There is definitely a pleasant feel about this course, although there is little in the way of spectacular sceenery, the fairways, rough and greens are all in very nice condition and creating digits can be achieved without shocking your Hands or arms( mind you I'm an older player. The senior tees are well placed and the fairways are always obtainable unless you are really wild. As you may already assume I very much enjoyed playing this course and it is not as easy at it first appears.
A hidden treasure
This course is a secret gem and a pleasant surprise when you find it. Located on the outside perimeter of the sub base in a quiet country setting. Very well maintained, greens, fairways and tees. Any golfer would enjoy this course and the price is great. I really enjoy this course
Course in great shape
I've played this course many times and always love playing here. This was the first time I've played since they re-did the greens. They were in great condition. It isn't a hard course but does have a couple of challenging holes especially for a woman. I usually walk this course. There aren't any houses being on a military base, so it isn't as long to walk as most courses I walk and very flat. Play it, you'll love your time out there.
Try it, you'll like it.
Course was in excellent shape. Fairways were lush and greens were rolling smooth. Played during the start of a cold front which had me playing into a stiff wind on half the holes. Pace of play was good. There's plenty of water and other pitfalls. Staff was friendly. One of my favorite courses in the area.
Greens worst I have played would not recommend playing without checking on greens
Very nice experience
My first time on a military course. a nice experience. Front nine was especially nice. Back nine did not have many trees. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were well maintained. I was only in the sand traps twice but they appeared to be OK. I would like to play here again next time I am in the area.
Great course
Enjoyed the course. Fairways and greens in good shape for this time of year. Play was paced well with friendly staff and players.
Basic Layout
The course is in decent condition, but the greens are very slow. The layout is not too challenging from the whites, but a fair amount of lateral water hazards keep play interesting.
Great Course, Slow Play
I played on a Tuesday at 11am and had to wait on every hole through 18. 3 groups visibly in front and 3 behind. There is a lot of water, so bring plenty of golf balls. Make sure to check the map and distances or your ball could end up where quite a few of mine did, sunk. The alligators were quite the highlight. The greens were very green and smooth, but moderate pace. Slopes make the course mildly challenging.
Great Value!
We had a great day for golf and the course was in good shape, the greens were in GREAT shape! Fun layout and enjoyed watching all the alligators.....they were like magnets for golf balls though! Will certainly play again.
Excellent for March
We've played Trident Lakes often when we've been in this area on holidays and have always enjoyed it. This year, perhaps because of the mild winter, the course was in better shape than in any year we can remember. The greens were in particularly good condition, although a bit too slow for our liking. Overall, a good and relatively inexpensive experience.
Not bad course for all level of play
Staff at proshop not attentative. Gave golf cart number but did not hand over key. Had to return and ask for it.
Ok for the average hacker
This course is just fine for the average hacker, but not for the avid golfer. I will give them credit, although slow the greens were in great shape. Personally will only return if I play with some hacker friends.
