Fairways Country Club
About
The golf course at Fairways Country Club is a short course but it is quite unforgiving. Water hazards come into play on fifteen of the eighteen holes of the course. The greens are small and tight and they are in excellent condition. There are also strategically placed bunkers situated throughout as well for extra challenge. The signature hole of the course is the par-5 5th hole, which has water on both sides of the fairway and it also runs across it 100 yards from the green. The course has three sets of teeboxes to accommodate different abilities and handicaps.

Short course
So let’s start with Good, I felt the greens on each hole were fair and the speed was reasonable. While I say that there were many greens that had fungus in areas where the pin was not placed obviously the greenskeeper is trying to keep people away from those specific areas.
Although we have not had a lot of rain, the course has been watered, but the fairways lack ample grass on many of the holes. There’s a lot of burned out areas and you really need to move the ball around in order to have a favorable lie.
The biggest negative to me was the fact that this is in a retirement community that is gated. There’s no mention of this in any of the information through GolfNow or through any information from the clubhouse. So getting into the facility is a little bit difficult unless you understand that you have to be called in by the clubhouse. This was a negative and should’ve been noted when booking your teatime.
The staff is super friendly willing to give you as much information as you need specifically in directing you to the first and 10th hole, which can be a bit confusing. The biggest confusing part for me was understanding where the clubhouse was, which is connected to a pool that the residence use and it’s unclear based on where you park if that is the actual clubhouse.
Overall, it was a good round of golf pace of play was decent. There is no starter nor is there any Rangers roaming around checking on piece of play. I found that there was no water on the course so you must fuel up before leaving the clubhouse or bring your own water until you reach the clubhouse between the ninth and 10th hole.
Good Value for the $$$
Played with my Mom for an early Mother’s Day. Round. The course was perfect for her. Greens were in very good shape despite the heat and no rain. Much better than some of the more expensive courses. Easy layout for those of us who aren’t as proficient. Tee boxes for all ages. Pace was perfect. Moved fast. 3 hour round. Good course. Obviously not perfect, but fun. Tough to get into the front gate. You basically have to tailgate to get through .Need to fix that. That’s the only complaint. TY Fairways!
Great course for the price
The course staff was friendly and professional. Definitely have to use other clubs besides driver off the tee. Short course where accuracy and short game is important. Really enjoy playing this course!
Stay Away
$2 would be too much to play this "course." It's a cow pasture with 18 flags in it. Look at the picture of the 14th "green" from 4-2-24.
What a mess
Disappointed
Good people 😁🇺🇸but the course is in bad shape and you can play two other courses that are great down the road for less price Wedgefield and great outdoors very highly recommend it.
Fairways CC
A hidden gem in Orlando. Easily accessible off the 408. Challenging but not long course. It can jump up and bite you. One of my favorites.
Basic Course Manufactured Home Community
Very basic course that winds through a manufactured home community. Greens were nice and fairways were decent. For the price, it’s a good value, but probably more enjoyable for locals to play than someone who lives elsewhere in Orlando or looking for a unique course to play.
Fairways golf course
My wife and l like this course very much, as my friends do. We are snow birds and normally play this course once a week. We're back home in Canada and will be playing this course next winter. Also the pricing is fair 👌
Value course
Good for the money. The course needs improvements.
Good Day of Golf
Most of the course was in good condition. 80% had good fairway grass. There are a few spots that were bare, but they should fill in as spring approaches. Most of the greens were very good, rolling fast and smooth. Again there were some spots here and there that still need to fill in. Only one green on the back 9 looked like it had got a fungus. Very enjoyable course for a reasonable price.
